Doc I need you help. Heres my grow they are 1 week old now after transplant, most of them look good but some of them are sickly! im really worried about 3-4 of them. The first week i watered 4 times and fed them only one of those times, at a mild 300ppm mix. The pH has been a steady 6.2 and the light approx 24 inches from them (1000w metal halide). Can you identify the problem thats causing this leaf detereoration? lemme know
Photos: One plant is healthy and the others are affected with some maladay. About 85% of the crop looks good though.
Could be a couple of thing----1. General Blight---You could try the doc's blight dip recipe and see if that takes care of it. 2. Looks more along the lines of a recessive genetic leaf deformation(sometimes crosses and unstable hybrids show leaf deformation like this) and will show up on a very small percentage of plants grow from the same seeds. All the other plants look healthy so that would be my observation.
DOC'S BLIGHT DIP RECECIPY(also good for transplanting)-
4 gallons clean low ppm water
26ml H2O2
4 teaspoons NEEM
4 drops super-thrive
8 drops liquid ivory soap
mix all ingredients well in 5 gallon bucket and PH to 6.3. Then take plant out of container(pot) and dip entire plant, root ball and all in solution. Have a clean pot the same size ready or wait to dip plant until you have washed inside of pot well and dip pot into bucket as well---put plant back into pot and under normal lighting---If it's general blight the plant will respond back to normal vegetative growth in 3 day to a week.
note: Hold the root ball with open fingers and slide the whole plant in and out of the dip--The dip time should be close to 2 secs and not much more or the root ball will start to break up.
Doc, when you post the pics of your girls....if you don't mind, post a pic of your light setup. You say your using a 40w, I would like to compare it to my setup so I can improve mine.
Thanks bro
Your is probably great or even better than mine but I am trying to do this class for new growers and at the lowest energy cost possible. Will post the pics as I said within hours
WIll you tell which nutes you used and how much and your ppm?
Yes I will
They look great. So what do you think of the germination method? Have you found it to be easy? How about fast?
i found it to be the easiest way and by far the fastest way i have done it .
when i first started i just placed the seed in the dirt and it took so long for it to pop up. i could have had a lot bigger plant in the same amount of time had i known then what i know now. i also feel the same way about the light i have now the growth is just that much better from when i had them under the cfls.but that's just my Hubble opinion
Nice thanks for the info.
why u ignore my question doc
Not on purpose---Just plain missed it somehow--the question was close to another post so I thought I had answered it. Above--sorry.
