Biden's such a hypocrite. How anyone believes anything that guy says is beyond me.
C'mon man, listen I'm not naive and lost my rose colored glasses a long time ago,Joe has been in top level politics a long, long time. The nature of politics in this country over that amount of time is going to dirty ANYBODY'S lands at least a little bit.But to make those accusations vis a vis who he replaced is ludicrous, compared to his predecessor he's a arch angel,he replaced the most flawed ,unhinged, narcissist in presidential history.

What a jackass. He's still lying about Medicare and SS. I swear he's gotta be a compulsive liar. And so much for uniting our country. I just can't believe how bad this guy actually is.

Rand Paul proposed vouchers. Mike Lee wants to take SS & Medicare to "rip 'em out by the roots." Rick Scott proposed sunsetting all entitlements and raising taxes on the poor and middle class. They've proposed eliminating social security to be replaced by individually managed brokerage accounts. That's reality. I'm very happy Biden is taking them to task.

something tells me that the privatized alternatives would be a bit light on the disability end of the program.

I'm guessing this is a more appropriate place to debate union support for Biden, and the potential loss of it. I wasn't hiding from the conversation @Herb & Suds - was just trying to avoid further posting in a thread where it didn't belong, so radical right of me :finger:

As I was trying (but obviously failed) to convey was Biden can't take union support for granted. The unions will send their money to support issues that directly affect them, as that is what members will demand of leadership. Why would they support Biden if he is only going to do what everyone expects Republicans would do, because he claims it's "difficult to sign"?

The fact that four unions rejected the offer but are forced to work under is not going to sit well, in fact the one union president is already gone because members didn't feel he represented them. Money isn't everything it would appear.

This is not just my personal opinion, lets see what people that study this shit think:

Now the bigger concern, comments made by National Railway Labor Conference chairman, Brendan Branon:
“I think it would also apply to the airline industry as well, where there are a number of significant outstanding negotiations, especially with the large pilot groups. Not to mention the ongoing Amtrak negotiations and all of those other industries under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).”

Haven't even touched on any of the issues he has had with other trade unions, not sure it would matter.

So, am I crazy to think that Biden may have an issue with unions if he is not careful?

Is Slow Joe ever going to talk about all this bullshit violating our National Security? All I see him do is talk nonsense about how we're supposed to believe he's doing a good job with our economy. Too bad most rational people realize it's complete bullshit.

Naw the republicans will still continue to push their anti-union policies...
Democrats Support Labor Unions, Republicans
Oppose Labor Unions in their Party Platforms

At their last convention, the Democratic Party expressed its strong support for the labor movement. The party platform notes that “when workers are strong, America is strong. Democrats will make it easier for workers, public and private, to exercise their right to organize and join unions.” The Democratic Party supports amendments to the National Labor Relations Act which will strengthen the rights of workers and their labor organizations.
In contrast, the Republic Party platform sees unions as a threat to “freedom in the workplace” and urges elected officials across the country to pass laws which limit collective bargaining rights. Republicans continue to support so-called “right to work” laws and oppose any efforts to make the process of union organizing less difficult.

I mentioned that this was a big problem back on page 58 of this thread, and was subsequently gaslit.
