Yeah, perceptions aren't based in fact. We have become a nation of morons. Joe dirt thinks that tax cut was good for him.And yet somehow the Billionaire Tax Cut bill was passed in 2017- a GOP year.

In some ways, union voters take Democratic support for granted as well. And ignore how powerless are unions in the most red states. Drag shows, high school athletics and history seem to be the squirrels of the day.I agree, but the dems don't do a good job of messaging on the topic. They should make efforts to shore up support to keep a 2016 from happening again. I do think the old resentment over nafta was a big influence in the outcome then and they take union members support for granted. Perception and feelz play a role, republicans have done a good job of painting the dems as the elite party only out for the rich.
Too bad. Life's not fair. We had a Pandemic. Maybe the Railroad workers would like to show for that meeting they missed in Ohio? The one spewing poison?- I bet their Union advised them to not go.I bet they'd feel better if they hadn't had their ability to strike during negotiations restrained by Biden.
If Joe Dirt paid attention he would know there was a small decrease year one, then increased thereafter.Yeah, perceptions aren't based in fact. We have become a nation of morons. Joe dirt thinks that tax cut was good for him.
Yes, Florida, Florida, Florida..no right to organize..right to work state. In some ways, union voters take Democratic support for granted as well. And ignore how powerless are unions in the most red states. Drag shows, high school athletics and history seem to be the squirrels of the day.
I hope she sued, since that is illegal. My daughter tried to organize at a Trader Joe's and was promptly fired- union busting.
She's a child; all she cared about was me being proud of her. I let her know I was more than she could ever know, then I told her the dangers and her mistake was she needed to organize behind the scenes. Once leadership got wind you became a liability that would cause fear and chaos. Corporate had to eliminate the threat- 20 something year old kid they worked to death. Whole Foods did it to her and Target almost killed her having her empty out incoming trailer- they gave her a lift belt.I made her quit she came home and I thought I'd have to call the ambulance, that she was going to die from being forced to lift heavy objects- her face pasty white and shaking. She's 5'3", 100lbs. What's wrong with these fucking people?I hope she sued, since that is illegal.
That's unfortunate, but also not too surprising to hear that sort of behavior from Corporate America. It's true that you have to be careful when starting a Union, and if you're just loud about it early on without any real plan, you could be headed for an early retirement. I've been involved with groups of workers who want to unionize before, and it can go different ways. Sometimes the majority of workers don't want to unionize. Back when I was a Union Rep, we got a call from a group of movie set workers who were on a non-union shoot in the area, and a bunch of them wanted to unionize it. I called in some heavyweights from the International Office, who flew in to help me organize the shoot. At the end of the day, a small majority of workers voted to not unionize, and there was nothing more to be done. The workers finished the non-union shoot, and I heard later than many didn't get paid. She's a child; all she cared about was me being proud of her. There's also that little stumbling block of retainer- not everything is contingency..that's what most attorney's want, retainer..you have all the rights America has to offer with a retainer. None if you don't.
If only I had the cash to sue the fuckers in Charlotte for terming me after I had a seizure on the road going to see their client.
There's a lot of 'if only' PJ, they usually strike at the worst time- when you're ill..going to an attorney is the last thing on your mind.
Yeah, blame the union instead of management and corporations. Makes sense, blame the people that were warning that shit was gonna happen with how things were being run.Too bad. Life's not fair. We had a Pandemic. Maybe the Railroad workers would like to show for that meeting they missed in Ohio? The one spewing poison?- I bet their Union advised them to not go.
President Biden trumps Railroad.
yesterday you exonerated management. I’m having trouble reconciling some of your statements. I believe others expressed confusion as well.Yeah, blame the union instead of management and corporations. Makes sense, blame the people that were warning that shit was gonna happen with how things were being run.
I stated management were not bad people for strictly doing there jobs during negotiations with unions to get the best deal for the companies. I know you are smart enough to understand that, so not sure why you are having trouble with that?yesterday you exonerated management. I’m having trouble reconciling some of your statements. I'm not blaming anyone. The adult in the room was strong by putting his foot down at a time where we, as a country, could ill afford another hit to our Commerce.Yeah, blame the union instead of management and corporations. Makes sense, blame the people that were warning that shit was gonna happen with how things were being run.
Free:Edit: The South Florida Employment attorney's admin wanted $400 to review my case..no longer are there free consultations in this typical contingency model.
If that's the case, then you don't actually support Unions like you think you do. Advocating for removal of the collective power of Unions is never a show of support.Biden put a stop to it and I, a Progressive, agreed.
I have no trouble with questioning Biden’s actions. It’s part of a healthy democratic discourse.I stated management were not bad people for strictly doing there jobs during negotiations with unions to get the best deal for the companies. Going out on a limb, it's because I questioned Biden's decision which seems to really scare some people that have made comments.
Thank you, but this was about terminating me due to illness- the seizure. I will pass this on to my daughter. Trader Joe's was several years ago, she's in early 30s now.Free:

I do have trouble with the ongoing exoneration of management. If they created an atmosphere so adversarial to basic worker entitlements like sick days that labor believed it could only get results by threatening disaster, their decency is not in evidence.
I’m all for unions and the power that collective bargaining confers. However in my view this situation became paralyzed by grievance to the degree we have seen in Ireland in our lifetimes*. When opposition crosses from reason to dogma, something like an act of fiat such as Biden performed is necessary and a kindness to both parties.

During a pandemic it is; Act of God supersedes all..rules change. If that's the case, then you don't actually support Unions like you think you do. Advocating for removal of the collective power of Unions is never a show of support.
What did the pandemic have to do with it? The pandemic was pretty over by that point.During a pandemic it is; Act of God supersedes all..rules change.
If the rules need to change, why should they change in favor of Corporate America, instead of in favor of the workers who worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic?During a pandemic it is; Act of God supersedes all..rules change.
