it is going to be a 2 year shit show, with the republicans putting on all kinds of sophomoronic skits to please their retarded base.
good thing they're in decline. i've kind of lost hope that any legal consequences will befall any of them. Garland has never inspired my confidence, and has done nothing to change my mind.
Mueller was supposed to be a king killer, and he didn't kill a fucking thing, except time.
when i see Smith indict ANYONE, then i may change my opinion...

Like I said, when the try to subpoena people, they will be challenged in court as to their validity and there is one Helluva case to be made that insurrectionist should not serve in congress all 119 of them. Normally you wouldn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of having them called to testify, but in this case? Also there is a reason why politicians never speak about ongoing cases and DOJ investigations, it tends to involve them then.

My biggest concern right now is the debt ceiling and if they will fuck the economy (mine too) and how badly. Or will it cause some of them to break away and vote with the democrats, breaking the magats hold and Kevin's speakership.

Might I suggest that some dark money secret PACs run a lot of ads in gym's home state district. It wouldnt cost much to put up a bunch of billboards "#investigategymshortsjordan" or whatever and point people to a website.

That dude represents the area of Ohio near where I encountered white people being racist against white people.

If you don't see them soon, there will be howling, however with the level of grand jury activity and Trump freaking out, I don't think it will be long. Jack isn't wasting his time and I would be very surprised if he did not begin with the documents and obstruction indictments against Trump. We will have to wait for the debt ceiling issue to be resolved before fucking with the republican house in a serious way by indicting Donald I think. All the signs show the heat is growing and Glenn is waiting and watching, but hopeful. Jack and Garland are at war with the GOP house too, but are holding all the cards, the republicans openly declared it and their intention to obstruct justice and interfere in on going investigations.

I honestly think these republican magats don't want to end up in court and I figure that is where they will be, if someone challenges their subpoenas or they want anything out of the DOJ. They were involved in insurrection and disqualified themselves from office, there is a ton of evidence and the J6 report with transcripts. They unlike most politicians can be called as witnesses at hearings and trials because of this.

to the bolded: what grand jury activity?

Georgia is on hiatus, New York ain’t exactly on fire, and DOJ currently has issued no (0) indictments. Are you aware of any of these things being otherwise right now?

Well Jack has been calling them in and we only know about a few, then there are state grand juries in NY and Georgia, the special grand jury is over there, she can ask for a regular one, or proceed directly to indictment. No indictment yet of any consequence, but conspiracies are often a bunch all at once, though this is over J6. As far as I know Jack is ready to go on the documents case or should soon be. In any case the activity is enough to make Donald freak out on social media, Eric too, they all pled the 5th for a reason.

so, once again, counting eggs and calling them chickens.
I would avoid the present tense for things that are not the proverbial bird in hand.
Also, something something boy cries Wolf! something.

In a special “Beat” report, MSNBC Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber reports on accountability in the insurrection era as questions remain about whether former Trump aide Rudy Giuliani will face charges for his role in the January 6th insurrection. Melber examines political pressures at play and refers to an old case from Giuliani’s time as the mayor of New York City. Part two of this special report is also available online.

No news on the debt ceiling, tomorrow the damage starts being done to the US economy, payments will stop for some people and I think the first in line for pay cuts should be congress, they get cut first, then government employees etc. It won't go on for long before interest rates are affected and if America pays more for money everybody is screwed except the bankers.

If they want to cut social security and Medicare, then put it in a bill and pass it, government by hostage won't work very well. Let's see if there are any moderates left in the GOP house, or are they all completely in the control of the scum of the earth. I guess they think their voters are stupid and will forget the kick in the nuts caused by this fiasco, besides they believe whatever they are told anyway and are of no account. Voters don't need to be taken into account is the overall GOP message, why else would they ignore the polling on policy issues and only pursue extremist agendas with little popular support. The think there are enough racists and fools in America to put them over the top, no matter what they do or how they behave. Some of them are right, character doesn't count at all in some ruby red districts. Even if George Santos ran again from his cell on the republican ticket, he would still probably get 20 to 30% of the vote in his district. About the only thing they can't do is be gay.

At this point all we can do is read the tea leaves and listen to the experts, those talking heads with experience in such matters. The reporters sniff around and drop clues and it is sometime fun to speculate a bit and have some fun with very distinct possibilities. Donald appears to be under a lot of stress lately and while it could be from a variety of legal perils, he has been mentioning Jack a lot lately and complaining bitterly about grand juries interviewing cronies and minions.

I know it is immoral, but I do take some small pleasure from Donald's discomfort... ;) It gives normal people hope.

Trump's DOJ nemesis indicted presidents, mafia before job deciding Trump indictment I MSNBC report
Smith has always seemed like a capable guy...but i was hoping for the "Kneel before Zod!" voice...that would have made trump shit on himself...of course, he already wears depends.
I'm fairly certain they brought him in to at least set up indictments, i just wish they would get to it. They have all of the Jan. 6th committee's files, meadows' phone records, cases and cases of files from New York and Georgia...

I can't see Jack acting on Trump while the debt ceiling issue is ongoing, or maybe for another month. He will act on the documents and obstruction first, J6 could take awhile, it was a massive conspiracy and the wider he casts his net the better. I'm hoping based on the public evidence, Mark's disappearance, Trump's public panic and Jack's rep that it includes GOP house members and senators in the trial of the fucking century. The real swamp draining.

Whoa, with a clean face, Smith is giving Trudeau a run for the money!
The FBI should set up a phone for him, just for death threats, the magats will be going wild when Jack busts Donald and Donald will freak out too.

2023 is a year to stock up on popcorn as the rats squeal and deal while cutting throats and stabbing backs. I'm hoping Mark Meadows will end up as King Rat and send them all up the river while copping a plea, no time for Mark would be fine, in exchange for Trump, his cronies along with some GOP congress people and senators, the more politicians, the more time off and Mark would have a lot to work off!
