You don't like Bernie? I like him. He seems like one of the more genuine people out there. Say what you want about his policies, but his consistency and lifetime commitment to them are second to none.
He hasn't done shit in his whole career as a senator. One post office getting renamed is not just that important me. Do I like his ideas... yes. Do I think he can get anything done... no. And his track record proves it

He recently made some improvements regarding labor rights and like many congressmen/women...he votes, which is something that we tend to think of as being important, yes? They have two jobs really; legislate and vote. He does that. The machine in Washington is so lethargic and obese that progress is difficult, irrespective of person or party. Plus, I'll take genuine and lower performance over high performance maliciousness everyday of the week. I remember when people first complained about Obama, they'd say, "he isn't doing anything!!!" well shit, isn't that a good thing if you don't like him??

I don’t remember that at all

people complained that he was doing too much. “Shoving it down our throats”.
The 111th was the most productive congress in a long time

you’re a phony and a fraud

He said workers should make 15 an hour minimum. Amazon upped their pay. Bezos nor bernie credited bernie. His supporters ran with it.

What has he accomplished? Mitch McConnell votes too.. is he qualified?

Sanders supports a progressive agenda, he has his entire career in politics since being mayor of Burlington. The reason many of the things he supports don't get passed through congress is because the Democratic party is center right on the political spectrum in America, not because they're not popular with the American people. This is not a failing on Sanders' part, but a failing of the Democratic party and party leadership to support policies that are actually progressive. They don't support policies that are actually progressive because they accept campaign contributions from big donors and corporations - the same people and institutions who oppose actual progressive policy being enacted.

Despite the systemic problems in congress with enacting a progressive agenda, Sanders has achieved more for the working class of this country than any other sitting member of congress. These would include things like championing H.R. 3230 as the chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee which appropriated an additional $5 billion to the VA in 2014 (signed into law by president Obama), voting against H.J. Res. 114, the war in Iraq, voting against S. 2271, the USA Patriot Act, voting against the deregulation of Wall Street in 1999 that led to the financial collapse of 2008, which he predicted, penned a bill in 2003 providing Americans with free credit reports, along with Mike Lee, passed a bill in the Senate ending US involvement in aiding the genocide committed by Saudi Arabia in Yemen, (vetoed by president Trump). Sanders has been a vocal supporter of action against climate change, of enacting a progressive policy of taxation, of universal health care, of community health centers, cancer registries, social security, workers pensions, LGBTQ+ rights and equality since the 1970's well before it was popular among establishment Democrats, and the most vocal opponent of Citizens United and enacting stricter rules for campaign finance reform.

Outside of his day job, he's successfully pressured some of the biggest corporations in America into raising their wages for some 450K+ workers, has ensured universal healthcare is a requirement for any Democratic presidential hopeful to be considered viable to the Democratic voter base, has increased Democratic voter enthusiasm & turnout, along with other firebrand progressive like AOC and Ilhan Omar, ensuring a House majority in 2018 effectively leading to impeachment hearings of Donald Trump.

He's been consistent for 40 years on each of these policy issues. But you will keep repeating the right wing/democratic establishment propaganda line that all he's done is name a couple post offices because you can't effectively argue against any of them.

I mean, you only need to be able to fog a mirror to be qualified. Our standards are pretty low, so yes, technically speaking...he is qualified.

When Obama didn't get anything done, it's because the Republican congress wouldn't allow it. But when Sanders doesn't get everything he supports passed through a right wing congress (including Democrats), that's all on Sanders for being an ineffective legislator..

The hypocrisy is blatant and obvious to anyone who is not a Democratic party sycophant

The "Stop BEZOS Act" is what pressured Jeff Bezos to increase his slave wages for his workers

Guess who wrote it?

Obama didn't get anything done? Lol

Also the bezos stuff. Where is bezos statement saying bernie is cause of wage increase? And if barny is god.. why isn't minimum wage raised everywhere? Not everyone works for amazon ya know? Well you know. You gotta work twice as hard as black people to get recognition at your job. You said that. So progressive. Almost as progressive as "black nurses acting like African primates" shuy

When Obama is criticized for not doing more, Democratic establishment sycophants respond that he didn't get more done because the Republican congress obstructed his agenda. The same can be said for Sanders' agenda. Obama gets a free pass but Sanders doesn't for the same criticism

Bezos raised his slave wages because of political pressure put on him by Bernie Sanders and Ro Khanna immediately after they sponsored the bill named after him

Minimum wage is not raised everywhere because Republicans and establishment Democrats oppose raising it because their corporate donors oppose raising it

National Nurses United endorse Bernie Sanders for 2020

“We are so proud that together, in 2016, Bernie Sanders and NNU elevated Medicare for All to the national mainstream, where it has advanced to a top 2020 presidential race issue,” the group's executive director, Bonnie Castillo, said in a statement. “Nurses are beyond tired of watching our patients suffer and die needlessly, simply due to inability to pay, and we know Bernie Sanders is and has been, leading on Medicare for All through his advocacy and Senate legislation.”

And the surge continues

He has surged back to where he was before his heart attack. Still in 4th place

buttigieg is surging. He’s now top dog in the Iowa and nh polls. Biden still leads nationally. Warren still polls above Bernie

just stop trying so hard

Do your kind only know how to debate using logical fallacies?

He's been running for President for 6 years now. That's his real job. Sanders hasn't done a lick of work in the Senate for years.
