If i start a job working at $10 an hour and after a couple years find myself making $15 an hour, and then all of a sudden the newly hired people get paid the same as I do, then I either get a raise, or I pack my stuff and take my skill somewhere else. You take your skills to a competitor and let them offer you the same job at a higher rate in that case.....if I make 15 per hour but produce what 3 average employees produce then I am an asset to the tune of -30 per hour....lot to times the job will hide this card but if you play it you have to be prepared for them to call your bluff......
