There is something going on. Think about the work done by the us army chemical corps. Now think about the cookies craze a few years back and how none of that made any sense, cookies came out of left field and took over the black markets like morning before. Was this an organic process or was somebody behind this? Did they want us adopting cookies for some reason? And crossing it to every thing else? Have you ever noticed all cookies strains suck and don’t get them high like weed used to. Like a good blue dream for example, will get you amazingly medicated. Cross that to cookies and it’s ruined. Why? I have a theory that cookies fam and berner are feds who push strains with gene drives bred into them. This is in hopes that we all cross out best strains to cookies and eventually all the good genetics that got us stoned for years and made us fall in love with cannabis will all be extinct due to how gene drives work. Just imagine if this was actually true, which it could be, I believe it to be true. This means we need to protect our genetics from all things pre cookies era. Anything pose cookies era is trash. Anything bred post cookies era is suspect. Seek out old genetics that are still pure and not containing the gene drive which changed the cannabinoid profiles and effect. I have a blue dream that is still pure and one joint gets me medicated for days while I can smoke weed from the store all day and not get stoned. I am the originator of this conspiracy but I want some help with this, we really need to look into this. I am now releasing this theory to the masses, do with it what you will.

For me and many others, the Blue Dream high was always boring. The main reason to grow it back in the day was for the big fast yield of bag appeal buds. Cookies is much better, but also yields much worse. How is Blue Dream "pure" genetics exactly anyway?

Not all blue dream was the same, you obviously didn’t have the clone only which is unsurpassed, smelled like vanilla blueberries now and laters with some haze mixed in. I also grew the other versions of it and was not impressed by those so I understand why you feel the way you do. I’d say there are hundreds of different blue dreams floating around but only one real clone only original. The high is electric and feels like a speedball. Intense stimulation while also intense muscle relaxation and sedation. With a high that lasts forever and has not ceiling. Nothing has ever topped it for me. By pure genetics I mean anything pre cookies, it has no cookies bred into it because cookies didn’t exist yet and I have held this strain since before cookies was around so that’s what I mean by pure, anything that can be verified to be pre cookies and never crossed with cookies or anything with cookies in it. This is just a conspiracy theory so don’t trip out on it, it’s just the only thing that makes sense to me. Weed pre cookies would get you high in a different way, it has nothing to do with the weed shops, during prop 215 the weed was so amazing it’s not even funny, but once cookies got into the gene pool all changed. I worked in the industry since 2007 and I retired so I know what I am talking about and I’m not full of bs, I speak facts and I hate money, and I love cannabis.

I'm from Santa Cruz, where the clone originated. I grew the original clone multiple times, as did other growers I know.

Blue dream is just one example I used since it is my personal favorite it’s really not the point here, doesn’t really matter what strain it is as long as it’s pre cookies. I’d say it’s more rare for somebody to like cookies over blue cream than otherwise since blue dream is across the board the top favorite strain on top ten lists across the internet.

Show me one top 10 list that had Blue Dream on it and nothing Cookies derived. You don't see a lot of true cookies on the market these days because of it's terrible yield, but tons of great hybrids with it's genetics. If cookies yielded like blue dream does, I never would have stopped growing it, that's for sure.

Cookies strains are awesome but are prone to throw nanners. I grew the clone only Sunset Sherbet for awhile and it was picky. It's good shit though. I've still got a bunch of it.

I never really had any herm issues with the early cookies cuts. They just yielded really low compared to other strains. The newer cookie based hybrids seem to generally yield better. I never grew Sunset Sherbert, but grew a cross of it and Sour D which was amazing.Cookies strains are awesome but are prone to throw nanners. I never said cookies WOULDNT be on the top list lol, so what’s the point of showing you a list with cookies and blue dream both on it? Once again, this isn’t the point of my post and it’s almost like you’re trying to divert peoples attention away from what’s important in my original post which is GENE DRIVES. Obviously the top ten lists are all going to have both blue dream and cookies on the same lists, I said blue dream will usually be above cookies on these lists And most people you ask will like blue dream above cookies that’s just a fact man. Also, cookies has benefited from millions of dollars in advertising, blue dreams has has zero, it’s all word of mouth. So that proves blue dream is superior on my opinion.

I had the first cut of cookies and it would always self pollinate on the lowest branches and this would cause you to have seeds on the bottom branch like two maybe per plant but it wasn’t enough to spread around the whole room so it didn’t cause any problems for me, and I actually still have some of those self pollinated seeds in a safeProbably the low RH I make them deal with. I don't provide the most stress free environment for them,

It's not a fact at all, that's only your opinion. In fact Blue Dream doesn't even appear on High Times list of the top 25 best strains of all time, but GSC does. Fact. There are a ton of great strains that have come from breeding with cookies lineage, but pretty much no famous strains with Blue Dream lineage. Fact. The original Blueberry from the 90's is what people really want.

Moving away from conspiracy theories and back to the topic of the thread that dispensary weed sucks. A friend gave me a preroll of some Obama Kush. I took 3 hits and got completely baked. Now I don't smoke as much as many and not everyday but still I could tell that this dispensary weed definitely didn't suck. And apparently it was only $2 for a decent sized joint.

a few dispos have good bud. i was in one a while back and they had the actual batch from a recent cup winner...lemon skunk. in CO Cannaco always has great stuff. a few other companies too. the 14er in a can is nice too and i tend to buy well priced bud only. i am sure some of super expensive top shelf is even better....i pass it for good second shelf a lot of times.
