To grow, i agree. To buy at a dispo, I'm just gona go with the better deal, for the most part. Which one looks the nicest for cheapest?
Blue Dream is supposed to be a good one to grow if you don't want the smell. I've never grown it though. Just smoked the dispensary stuff. It was a pretty mellow high if I remember right. I like the higher punch of the GSC. I haven't been in a dispensary in years though.

With all of the rules and regulations governing dispensaries, I would say that they are all corporate, if not directly then indirectly through those who pilfer the profits from the tax pot.
There's quite a few smaller operations around here. Some of the big boys like CuraLeaf pulled out and I can't remember the name of the other one. I think they were the priciest as well.

A friend of mine knows someone at a smaller shop that lets him know when they have deals. Sometimes he gets ounces of pretty decent pot for $20. Now maybe it's not "Pure Fire" but a few hits and you're stoned. I've said this many times before but outside of the very small percentage of pot growers on cannabis forums most are screaming for joy that they can buy an ounce legally for less than they used to pay for one eighth. And it's legal. No meeting someone in a parking lot. Just walk in the door and make your choice from a huge selection of options.

We have about 30 Starbucks in town, but the two original coffeeshops that I frequented as a teen are still here. Everything sorts itself out.

Yeah I don't know what these people are getting to say it all sucks. But dispensary weed here in Oregon and Washington is pretty damn good. And cheap. I don't buy it but I know lots that do and try it from time to time.
I had to do a class in Seattle last winter and couldnt believe how cheap a pair of prerolls were. Priced where it should be.
Dispensary weed isnt bad, just alittle dry for my tastes.

Unfortunately it doesn't always work out the way it should. Five years ago, the best coffee shop in a small nearby town, which had been running for 30+ years, had their lease pulled by the new owners of the shopping center. Because they had another location in the north part of the County, they never found a new home for the Aptos location, and now there is a Peets coffee at that shopping center instead.

Dispensary weed sucks because:

Its airy crab grass, because its
grown hydroponically

Its disease ridden because its grown indoors under poor lighting spectrum, hydroponically.

Its premature because the buds are susceptible to mold via the unnatural hydroponic environment.

Its covered in mold and mold sprays because of the poor knowledge base of hydroponic growers.

It has fake smells applied because its grown in an inert hydroponic medium that can't produce smells.

Its full of other chemicals because it was grown hydroponically.

It tastes bad because it was grown hydroponically with synthetic nitrate based fertilizers.

It has no nutritional value like good soil bud does being cause it's grown hydroponically.

Its dried wrong because hydroponic growers don't have a clue what they are doing, or even what they are looking for in quality.

Its grown from seed because anyone dumb enough to grow hydroponically doesn't grasp the importance of a strain being the exact strain it claims to be, or what makes a strain a strain. The product is homogenized by grow chemicals/additives for consistency between seeds.

Its poorly trimmed because most the weight of hydroponically grown bud is in the Brix+ sugar soaked leaves.

Has nothing to do with "over-cloning". The best smoke is at least off a 2 decade old mother. Clones are what makes a strain a strain. Strain names mean nothing with homogenized hydroponic seed crops.
WTF!!!! IM GOING TO LEAVE THIS ONE ALONE

I've been buying my beans from a new local roaster. I just noticed that their coffee is now being sold at a local Kroger. I don't think the market will be as corporately monopolized as people believe. A lot of people will love a 20 dollar ounce. Some people wouldn't touch it based on the suspiciously low price. American consumers cast a wide spectrum.

This is legitimately the dumbest comment I've ever read on here.
You could just share your definition if its that simple homie.
Does a storefront make it a dispensary?
Is my house a dispensary?
Where's the line between commercial grower and home grower........zero sales?

Dispensary = licensed business, subject to local/state/federal regulations.

You selling 8ths to your friends = not a dispensary, no matter how many sales you have made.

How is this even up for debate?

So anyone who does sales but complies with all local laws and regulations...........like mom and pop shops.
