CIA urges Russians to get in touch, Moscow puts spies on alert
After the US Central Intelligence Agency published a video encouraging Russians to make contact via a secure internet channel, the Kremlin said on Tuesday that its agencies were tracking Western spy activity.

The CIA’s short video in Russian was accompanied by a text saying the agency wanted to hear from military officers, intelligence specialists, diplomats, scientists and people with information about Russia’s economy and its leadership.

“Contact us. Perhaps the people around you don’t want to hear the truth. We want to,” the text said.

Published nearly 15 months into Moscow’s war with Ukraine, the video invites Russians to take a colossal risk.

President Vladimir Putin has warned his compatriots to be on their guard against traitors, and parliament last month voted to increase the penalty for state treason from 20 years to life in prison.

In the video – published on the CIA’s official YouTube channel and the Telegram messaging app, popular in Russia – a male voice reflects on the meaning of heroism and endurance as lone individuals are seen weighing their decisions: a man trudging through snow, a woman staring through a window.

“We are easily swayed by lies. But we do know what our reality is. The reality we live in. And the reality we talk about in whispers,” the voice says.

At the end, a man and a woman are shown in separate scenes with their fingers hovering over mobile phone screens with a link saying “Contact CIA”.

“This is my Russia. This will always be my Russia. I will endure. My family will endure. We will live with dignity because of my actions,” the narrator concludes.

Asked about the video, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he had not paid attention to it, but added: “I am convinced that our special services are monitoring this space in the necessary way.”

He added: “We all know perfectly well that the CIA and other Western intelligence services are not reducing their activity on the territory of our country.”

Some Russians reacted sceptically to the video on social media, saying it looked like a “provocation” by Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB).

The text accompanying it said contact could take place securely via Tor, a system for anonymous online communication. It directed viewers to another video for instructions on how to use Tor.

“The CIA wants to know the truth about #Russia, and we are looking for reliable people who know and can tell us this truth,” it said. “Your information may be more valuable than you think.”

Looks like they are not happy about how we adorn our embassy walls, I wonder why? Xi feels threatened when a fellow authoritarian is failing and losing so badly, especially when they were so publicly close. Meanwhile China will be looking to take advantage of the Russian collapse in central Asia and in the eastern Russian republics in the future. We are by no means done fucking with China over trying to fuck with us and like Russia, China is making more enemies than friends.

are those Chinese bikers? Look like rough trade to me.

Vlad fires his dwindling supply of missiles at cities and Zelenskiy is on a European tour to get modern fighter aircraft for Ukraine. A modern airforce will keep the Russians out of Ukraine once they are ejected. The effects of all the modern AA systems and a layered air defense system can be seen with the number of thwarted attacks.

looks like the makers of the Patriot and the Iris have gotten some extend contracts now......nice job

Pushilin: Russian Armed Forces deployed reinforcements to Bakhmut
The RF Armed Forces sent reinforcements to the flanks of Bakhmut (Artemovsk), which should stabilize the tense situation around the city. Denis Pushilin, acting head of the DPR, spoke about this.

“Reinforcements of the RF Armed Forces have been deployed to the flanks of Bakhmut,” Pushilin said on the air of Solovyov.Live. He added that the situation in the city is still tense, but reinforcements should stabilize the situation. Russian troops continue to advance in Bakhmut, Pushilin concluded.

Earlier it became known that before the capture of Bakhmut by Russian troops, 20 buildings remained to be cleared. The founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that they still have to take "small things" in the private sectors of the city.

Head of Wagner PMC Prigozhin: only one house remained under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Bakhmut
One house remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) in Bakhmut (Artemivsk). This was stated by the founder of PMC "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin.

“Today, units of PMC Wagner have advanced [to a distance] of up to 200 meters. <...> The last house remains under the control of the enemy. In order to completely take Bakhmut, there was a quarter below Yubileynaya Street and a small piece of the private sector. And Bakhmut will be completely taken under control by units of the PMC Wagner, ”his press service quotes Yevgeny Prigozhin as saying.

Earlier, Prigozhin stated that 20 buildings remained to be cleared before the complete liberation of the city . After a while, he said that 1.59 square kilometers were under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and 12 houses had to be cleared before the capture of Bakhmut .

Nothing is better for sales in the arms business than real world examples of success and more systems are on the way. Once driven from Ukraine, firing missiles and drones into the place will be the only way Vlad can attack them, but it will increasingly come with painful retaliation.

I'm sure the Ukrainians are working on their own long-range missiles and drones to take out Russian rail bridges well inside Russia. The Russian army is completely dependent on the railways and cannot operate more than 50 km from their rail heads. So, the simplest and cheapest way to keep them out, is to destroy the bridges inside Russia on the rail routes leading into Ukraine or have the ability to do so at short notice. This will cut the Russians off at the knees and make it impossible to mass forces on their borders or to supply an invading army. Nobody wants to give them the weapons to do this, so buy the parts from them and make your own, missiles and drones to do the job.

Looks like Ukraine has a way of dealing with its Clarence Thomas's...

Who knows what such an anti-corruption commission would find in America?

People are dying for their country on the battlefield, including judges, while this cocksucker is selling it out to the highest bidder.

Ukrainian army deploys DIY drones to attack Russian tanks and trenches

UKRAINIAN soldiers deploy DIY drones to attack Russian tanks and trenches in up-close footage.

In this footage released by the Ukrainian armed Forces' Press Service to Reuters, shows army soldiers training with the homemade flying devices.

Nom De Geurre Kakrurt, a soldiers in the 35th Marine Brigade said: "The majority of enemy's interference systems work with satellite systems. In our work we do not use any satellite systems or other kinds of stabilisation of drones. It is all manual.

Regarding the radio electronic surveillandce and interference, the life span of a kamikaze drone, from the moment of take off to the moment it hits the target, is approximately 3 minutes. So even for the radio electronic interference there is simly not enough time to start, start working and interfere with the frequencies we work on."

This is excellent news and should send a shiver down Putan’s and Xi’s spine. A system deployed since the 1980s - making short work of 6 hypersonic missiles. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re lying about even “damaging” one of the two systems.

Now imagine if our undisclosed defense/counteroffensive measures actually had to be used. Maybe I’m a little biased but our Navy alone could completely wipe out both Russia and China if needed.

I would argue this is a turning point in the war especially in terms of countries who align themselves against us catching a glimpse of a third party’s capabilities with our old technology

Patriot is modular. The modules have been aggressively upgraded. This is definitely not the Scud-missing weapons system of 33 years ago.
