I've seen some pretty mean bud grown with CFL's. It's all about what your needs and budget will allow.:weed:

thanks everybody for there input everything that i have learned has been very very useful...I am going to keep learning from this site im sure that i will come along many more problems as this is the first time i have tried to grow anything at all. But i am sure with the use of this site i will work my way right through it. I plan on keeping pics all the way through my first grow because it is such a beautiful plant...

yes, you can grow really tasty, stoney, crystally fuckin herbs with the cfl's. but they would always be better with the hps.

why do the kooks with the least growing experience/knowledge always jump up to defend the cfl's?

the cfl vs hps argument isn't about quality its about quantity..hps clowns on cfls i've used both and i'll never go back to cfls..cfls are for broke small time growers

ive once used a 400 wat hps for 1 plant with impressive results . and i also used a 250 watt hps for 3 plants of different strains and they grew fine just took an extra week or two juring flowering . i think u shud invest on a better light they deserve it ;-)
