I've gone searching through the house for a glass bottle the right size but no luck. The bulb is about a foot long

I can put my hand above the bottom of the reflector without feeling hot. A little warm but not hot. quite comfortable.

My room temp is down to 77 degrees. Windows wide open
and how many inches do you think your hand is below that light? I assume your hand is up above where the plants would be?

I would put them bad boys in there, keep the cab cracked open a bit, run your ballast on 75% - Stay up for the next hour monitor temps and see if the plants flop...

In the mean time , Watch your watering, might need to water a bit more, Get a bigger inline fan to vent that cab, 190 aint gonna be enough.

If your able to hold your hand there for a minute without having to pull away , The plants are able to sit and not crumble.

Looks like I should of ordered the 6in fan instead. Yeah but that's already exhausting the volume of the cab 10 times every minute at full speed. At this point it's cheaper to get the 70$ cooltube than it is the $120+ fan and filter all over again. Then never use these. Edit: then run into the issue that cool tubes are 6 in and my fan is 4 in, doh. adaptor

3 inches from bulb max.

They'll go in tomorrow when I get a timer.

My ballast has been running at 50%, 200w rather than the 400w

thats the temps @ 50%?

Whoa!

Well it aint a total waste, Keep that fan filter combo just for that, and your gonna need to buy an additional fan / reflector to deal with this heat and to be able to run that to full power.

But for now you can get em in and not worry about death LOL.

That fan / filter combo will work perfect for a exhaust for the whole cab. That way you wont be blowing stinky air out anyways. - If you do get a cool tube to fit then that should have to be filtered. Also I would work add another intake, additional to that passive one, Forcing fresh cool air in.\

My tent I just check is running at 80 degrees with it open, I just closed it full and switched my fans around and put them on medium, Gonna see how high it gets.

You might have to open your cab up for a few hours everyday no matter what you do, LOL unless you have 1000's to dish out on cooling

After relooking , add a fan to your intake forcing air in, and you should be good to run at 50% - Then later get that cool tube, cut it down to fit or pre cut holes in your cab and slide one end in and then push it up and slide the other end in, leaving it with the ends sticking out and hook up your vent tubes and such outside...You would need to seal the cooltube in for light leaks but that would be badass!

Yeah that's at 50%

It should be too much if I have a cool tube. Don't think I have enough wall left to be adding more intakes and exhausts, ha.

Problem is I'm low on cash and bills are due, plus vehicle registration is up. Still haven't fixed it after the deer wreck cause I was putting money into the cab.

When I was planning and purchasing I read wanted it to turn over air volume of the cab 5 times a minute and this does 10. According to the chart I found tonight I should only be like 5 degrees over my room temp

I fully understand growing being at the bottom of the list.
such things are only figured out with a dry run - Silver lining is, In the mean time it will grow, it will bud. Luckily you bought a dimmable ballast! You should have to drill no more on the back side if you run the cool tube horizontal and saw out the left and right sides.

The right side in my veg cab and the light schedule would ruin my flowering. and on the left would shine light out of my cab and let light in during lights out. I really should of just gotten the led panel. Then saved the expense on cool tube and even bigger ventilation, or doubled up ventilation

I just flip it lol, Its pulling air out now and when I open my tent I push air in. i leave it unsecured in the port of my tent. Mine only has 3 ports, 2 are for the reflectors and I switch around the other intake / outtake pending if I am home to open the tent.

I forgot the veg room was on the other side, You can still work it out the one side, and seal it ...No light will go in and that will save you atleast 6 in of space by working the one end outta the cab,,

Clon3. Number5 has stretched considerably. Up to 4.5 in. Clone 4 is at 4 in.

Was at a concert tonight, could smell people smoking weed. Got home and could smell it in my room ever though filter is hooked up with fan going :( need to get the collection of leaves and dead plants out of my room.

Voidling I got a little cheap ozone generator that works great for $79 off e-bay... only took a day to get here because the place that sells it is actually in round rock. Might look into that in the future ozone generators rule. No more weed room smell for me (even though I don't mind it's the other people I'm worrieda bout...)
