Updayday LED thread

The Szhlux seems to be a solid light. It went together super easy and i like the different dimmer settings and timer. No clock so i guess you just have to figure whatever time you plug it up as 12 oclock. Im just running timer off and will do it manually with the autos. Its really bright. Coverage is perfect for 4 decent autos. Im really glad i went 400w though as i dont think 300 would have done it without supplementing. This one weighs 13 pounds vs. 8 for the old version of this light. It feels sturdy and rigid so maybe they reinforced it better. Only time will tell but unless it gives me trouble im pretty pleased.
I’m glad it worked for you! It’s a steal. Please post the girls under it as they progress?

Thanks and always. Ive already started germing 2 more. The girls are standing up and not burning for once. I bought some dr earth flower girl dry amendments too and scratched some in. Hopefully this will be my best grow.

Hey growmies. Its time for me to invest in a decent light. Are you all satisfied with your Updayday lights? Im looking at the s3000 for my 2x4. I can use my QBs for supplemental if needed. This looks like a great deal at $189.
I recently got it for my 4x4 and my plants are responding positively! I paid $159 for it. I've been growing for a few years but due to limited funds I've had to slowly upgrade things. I have no option but to be wise with my spending and I feel great about this investment.

So did you get the Updayday or the Schlux? I think they were both the same price.

Its nigh impossible to get a clear pic anymore.lol . Just too bright. Mine are finally getting meaningful light. Its pretty cool that you can get a good light that will power a 4x4/3x3 for less than $200. I didnt realize how bad the hotspots in my qb's were fking up my grow till i switched. Nice grow Fidel!

I moved the 3x3 to my new grow room, which allowed me to swap out the original Updayday to the UA5000, I like the spectrum adjustments. Not sure I’ll fool with the 1983 temp/CO2 probes. I didn’t mention I have 2 different Updayday 500 watt units. Bud pics are 100% updayday grown and getting super beautiful.

My new light has got the girls happy and growing well. I found an old toddler bed foundation that i stripped down to the wire. It is a perfect fit for my shower err growspace. I have 2 wwauto seedlings so ill be running 6 plants. The 1st 3BOG is finishing up. Just water and very little of it for the last 10 days. All trichs are cloudy but not much amber so i figure a couple weeks. Fine with me as shes getting fatter by the day. GSC is doing awesome but for a few lightburned leaves on top that started under the old lights. Everything else is cruising. The Dr. Earth dry amendments make feeding easy. I havent had to modify ph of water at all. Runoff is always 6.5ish. I finally started a fkn grow diary. Next up, Banana Blaze by Dutch Passion. Awesome looking grow @Fidel Cashflow.

That close left side one looks so similar to my lady that is about to be chopped. The 4 in my auto tent are all GSC -done right it’s one of my favorites-giddy high like I was a kid again. I’m considering running Dr. Earth-I can get at my local Wally along with cheap worm castings. Are you in N or S Carolina? We are neighbors! @CarolinaPothead your ladies look awesome.

Actually its Virginia for now. But i grew up near Charlotte. The 2 left ones are 3bog Mephistos. GSC front right and a GG4 behind. My wife wants the shower back and i keep telling her ,when the plants finish. Then i start more.lol.

I got a message from UpDayDay after I gave them a crap review for receiving a broken light. I got a full refund from Amazon. UpDayDay then sent me a new light for free. That's good customer service at least.

So, the light arrived yesterday and this time it appears to be intact -in spite of the terrible packaging. I plugged it in and it's very bright. I have no idea how to work the timer and switches, but maybe that information is in this thread somewhere....hopefully! It looks like the build quality is good...but it has a LOT of inputs and switches that make it user-non-serviceable if something goes wrong. And I'm not sure what I think about the green display staying on all the time. They claim it helps the plants sleep, but Dr. Bruce Bugby would say different. I suppose I could place a piece of tape over the display.

Anyway, yeah....I mean, for FREE I can't complain that it isn't worth the price! :) I just hope it doesn't start a fire or anything weird.

Lol, that’s why I have 2. I didn’t want to spark a fire storm of folks trying to get free lights. They are decent lights.

Im sure one of these blokes knows how to run the functions on that thing. Thats 1 thing i really like about mine is its simple for aarp members like me. :) I had to turn mine down to 300w cause i was toasting my tops. Ive always read that green light is ok in small amounts. I used to have a green nightlight in my space when i ran photos and it didnt bother them. I dont know about it being helpful though. Tape is always an option. What model number ya got? Somebody here surely can assist.

New light, better genetics and dry amendments have made this grow pretty eventless so far. The 3bears is fantastic. Newsflash: Mephisto is a good breeder. The Fastbuds GSC auto has been a pleasure to grow. VERY frosty, i just lightburned the top. The 2 WW are doing well in my home amended $4 a bag local organic soil. So tired of getting gnats from FFOF and trying to save $$. The healthiest plant is one of the free GG4 autos ILGM replaced. Its the dark green 1 in back. Since 3 plants will be ready within a month or so i started 2 banana blaze from Dutch Passion and will start something else soon as i harvest 1. Its getting fun. Im finally starting to be able to pull a run from start to finish without any real issues. If I ever get time or a tent id like to run some photos. These autos just finish so fast that im getting to experience alot more strains and i can grow perpetually in 1 spot with new plants replacing finished ones. Things have come a long way. Hope you all are having good grows! Sorry about pic quality ill do better next time.
