Hey growmies. Its time for me to invest in a decent light. Are you all satisfied with your Updayday lights? Im looking at the s3000 for my 2x4. I can use my QBs for supplemental if needed. This looks like a great deal at $189.

The square footprint of the s3000 will leave darker areas out to the sides of the 4ft dimension. If you can put a QB on each side, you will have full coverage. Probably dim the s3000 a little or raise it up more so you don't end up with a hot spot right in the middle.

Thats what i was thinking. Ive been doing 3-4 autos under 2x100w qbs per run and getting 3-4 zips a plant. I just am wanting more even coverage and enough watts to harden the nugs and get better light penetration. I am after improved quality. Ive stepped up on genetics so light is ostensibly my next step. I could run 6 autos in my 2x4 with the s3000+my qbs. Thanks for the input. Im gonna get it when paid.

I'm hearing the s3000 is very nice, I also own one myself that is still in it's box. If you don't mind me adding my $0.02 I personally I would rather wait for a promo code to pop up for it and in the meantime just make a list of other lights that are in it's the price range and compare them before making a decision. Then again its just $90 more and i'm just being frugal. Good luck either way.

This is a better way of explaining what I was trying to say. I didn’t see this post before responding. Couldn’t agree more

Thanks guys for all the good input. I was figuring that id need to put the qb's on the ends to help. I was mainly just wanting better quality light and i think this will get me there. I have only been using 3x2 of the space. With the s3000 + my 2x100w qbs, i should be able to use it all. Im a tight ass so its hard for me to come off more than 2 bills rt now. This'll give me up to 500 watts. I got my money out of those $39 bloomspect qbs but if I want better and bigger yields i just cant do without more power. This last grow i have 7 zips jarred up and 4-5 more drying. So almost 3/4 lb under 200w. I am sure that I can pull more than a pound using the whole space and have better quality too. If i can adjust the bars on the s3000 it would be perfect. Thanks guys for the replies.

BTW, this is the reason i like it here. On alot of forums everybody would be trying to tell me that nothing will grow if i dont buy an HLG or Optic LED or another $500+ light and that i was a fool to ever buy those bloomspects. Do i wish id started with a better setup? Yeah, but cash dictated my choices and ive pulled lbs off those cheap lights. Updayday seems to have the best lights for the money rt now and you guys say they work well so im sold.
