I don't know what Zicam is but I take zinc every day for prostate health. Good for the heart too and I know you have one of those even tho some here would deny that but some here are jerks.isn't it zinc that disrupts the replication? ie. Zicam.
If all it took was zinc, nobody would have a high PsA.I don't know what Zicam is but I take zinc every day for prostate health. Good for the heart too and I know you have one of those even tho some here would deny that but some here are jerks.

How can you say for sure it didn't help him? Maybe he'd be worse if not for that?Proven false. See here that the laying on of hands while praying did not heal Trump's narcissistic, egotistical, racist, bigoted mental health problems. Didn't even make a dent.

The zinc and the Saw Palmetto are to help with the LUTS, (Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms) and I find them very helpful. They don't do anything to lower the PsA but there are some things that do. The PsA rises in proportion to the size of the prostate and mine is enlarged so of course my PsA is higher. An MRI a year ago found no signs of cancer and I'm booked for another one in June as the PsA has risen a bit. From 10.3 - 12.0. That's pretty high so my urologist wants to have a follow up MRI.If all it took was zinc, nobody would have a high PsA.
Can't beat good genetics and if you don't have good genetics, see a urologist.
Most happy products on TV are a farce as are most wive's tails. Saw palmetto has some benefits for some but will not override genetics and a high PsA.
They have drugs that help though. Sometimes.
How the hell could he be any worse? Never mind. I really don't want to know. lolHow can you say for sure it didn't help him? Maybe he'd be worse if not for that?

Their heart just isn't into it. They know they are selling a turd, and they know we know. Why are the 2020 troll socks so fucking boring?
Theories?

I got a good book about the prostate from the library written by the head urologist of some huge and famous hospital in the states back east. The Whole Life Prostate Book I believe it was called and read it cover to cover. I really want to avoid any intrusive treatments as long as possible as they all have nasty side effects. Incontinence, erectile difficulties or impotence, infections etc. Not to mention getting a laser shoved up Mr. Happy to burn out your prostate but I can pass my pee OK so no worries there yet.
I'm 65 now so pretty much past the danger zone for aggressive type cancers and if I get a cancer now I'll likely die from something else before it would come close to killing me or causing me any serious problems. 15 - 21 ejaculations per month and kegel exercises help keep the prostate healthy and everything in it's place to help reduce LUTS. The wife helps with the former and I take care of the latter.
I think you need to find a better urologist. My local doc sent me to mine after doing a digital exam and thinking he felt a lump. On my first visit to the urologist, (2 hour drive away), he took his time going through the cancer risks of my current PSA test using a program on his computer to visually lay it out. Was about 13% chance of a serious cancer being present considering my age, PSA level, and all other health issues. He surprised me by asking if I was OK with him doing a digital exam and man did he dig in there. Way more aggressive than my family doc and said he couldn't feel anything. And about 80% of prostate cancer lumps are detectable from that test so a needle biopsy wouldn't tell him anything if there was no target. Does yours use ultrasound to aim for any lump? Did the doc even detect a lump or did he just go by your PSA and order a useless and invasive test. How much kick-back does he get for putting your health at risk? If not then you're being exposed to unneeded risks. What does the MRI show?
Just curious because my urologist (who's kind of a big deal around here) says the single only way to diagnose cancer is by needle biopsies. No other way. I had one of those new 'liquid biopsies' last year.
All that led to was a needle biopsy because it was a hair high.
I had 3 biopsies (that they call 36) all negative.
But they can miss it if it's tiny.
My PsA, once 12 is now 5.something on a shrinking drug. Not that I believe it shrunk much. Lol. Arnold Palmer wasn't diagnosed until he had 72 biopsies.
That's a question for Google.Is that psychosis?

He said he prefers MRI as it can show the tiniest tumours but I would have to wait up to 6 months so if I was cool with that then he would set one up. Took 5 months but came out clean as a whistle so I'm not really worried about it. Thickened bladder walls make it harder for my bladder to stretch so more frequent peeing there. Trucker's bladder as it's called by some. from holding your water much longer than you should.
Before going for a PSA test you shouldn't do anything that irritates your prostate for 72 hours prior. No ejaculations, bike riding or heavy lifting as any of those can cause your PSA to almost double for up to 48 hours. Who knew but I read all about it in that prostate book.
I had a testosterone test over a year ago and my T is higher than most 18 yo healthy men at age 65. More T can equal higher PSA as well so that may be a big factor. I don't take anything to deliberately increase my T level but do take quite a few supplements and vitamins so I'll take a list with me next time I see the urologist. I have a sneaking suspicion that zinc helps increase T levels so will have to ask Dr. Google about that.
Even the doctor who invented the PSA test says it should not be used alone to order a needle biopsy. Docs don't really enjoy sticking a finger up your bum, (at least I hope not! ), but if a lump isn't felt then a CAT scan or MRI is less invasive and should be done before a needle biopsy. I could have had a CAT scan much sooner and at a hospital much closer but CAT scans are like getting dozens if not 100s of X-rays all at once and can cause cancer themselves where MRIs use magnetism and cause no harm.
How old is your urologist? Mine looks to be mid-30s and my family doc even younger. I got a real good vibe off this urologist and he would be the surgeon if I needed any surgery down there.
What is it that dropped your PSA so much? PSA in itself isn't harmful, just an indicator that something is going on to irritate the prostate.
Us men are much too secretive about their 'private parts' so issues often never get dealt with until it's too late. Same with mental issues.
Citation?That's a question for Google.
If there's nothing there where do you get the biopsy to test? Once they image a tumour then they have a target and can direct the needle to it. You're just shooting into the air hoping to hit an invisible bird otherwise. The only way to diagnose prostate cancer...
Is with needle biopsy core samples and then the slides are viewed by an experienced pathologist. When the pathologist is in doubt, he sends them to another pathologist.
You can believe whatever you want. Pictures do not diagnose early prostate cancer. By the time it would show up on a picture, it's likely into your spine and you should make a will and get your affairs in order.
damn your Vulcan* speed. beat me to it.Citation?
Apparently they haven't had much luck regrowing severed limbs using prayer, at least I'm pretty sure nobody has done a peer reviewed double blind study on it (I never bothered looking though)! Some say laying on of hands while praying to God has the power of healing too.
