Purecrop1 I will be trying this product. I see you mention testing ph and adjusting for it. Do you also adjust for ph with your regular feed. Do you have to using ro water. Is ro water that important. Your plants show your experience. I commend you for passing this knowledge to us.

Adjusting for pH is one of the most important things you can do to make sure all the nutes are available and to have the plants dialed in perfectly. I'm not sure if the directions for PC1 state a "best pH range" but it's what I do. I do use reverse osmosis water out of a 4 stage filter, mainly because my water is poor out of a well and I like it to be clean from the start. All water put into the pots is r.o. water, I never use tap water or anything else.........

I usually get a bit of stretch in between week 2 and 3 in flowering so no surprises.......... it won' t be much overall. It's hard to know for sure what % of each there is in this one. I suspect it leans towards the sativa side, since the diesel is probably dominant. What makes it harder is there is more than 2 strains mixed in it, so it comes down to the breeders choice of phenos. Once I smoke it, I'll know more........

Rasta Jeff, the breeder/ owner from Irie Sseds has a podcast where he talks in detail about defoliation. He recommends a very deep and thorough defoliation the day you start flowering, which I did, and then periodic lighter defoliations throughout flowering to keep the room “Right”. The second defoliation should takes place around week 2, more of a strategic pruning. It’s a rainy day here tomorrow, a perfect time for some room work. I’m still thinking about how to handle it. Buds are starting to form and you surely do not want to remove too many or it will impact their final size. Looking at the pic above, most of the leaves blocking buds underneath are removed and that’s why you are seeing so many bud sites. I think the plan is to try and open up the room to allow deeper penetration of the lights, so maybe just a sweeping but light removal mid plant, maybe 4-6 leaves per plant. I’ll take a before and after to highlight the difference.

I’m in my 8th grow I think with the Gavita’s now and this current grow is the most similar to my first led grow, with a Orange Gaam. I think then Gasm had stronger branches and about 16-18 of them left on the plant at harvest. I’m not so sure where I am with these just yet. All I care about is keeping them healthy, everything else will work out just fine.

Lastly, I’ve been raising the lights daily. I want no light bleaching or heat burns, that’s about the only thing that could go wrong at this point.

Here's a same day pic, day 16 in flowering of the Oramge Gasm....... I did a much more thorough defoliation on this crop in week 2 and it would bounce back in 3 days like crazy. Look at all those friggen leaves.

Just a late night update tonight...........

The switch to a 2-3-5 Early Bloom fertilizer was made on Saturday, and this will continue thru week 6. We are at day 19 in flowering now. pH is always 6.3, my ppm is low 700's but I'm fertilizing/watering every day and a half, all by hand. I plan to start giving them a flush every 3rd or 4th watering, just to be sure of avoiding any salt (fertilizer is a salt) build up in the medium.

The 3 Ethos Orange Kush Cake (OKC) plants are noticeably different compared to the BubbleHead. They are taller mainly and not as compact, and tomorrow I plan to pull them out of the room and either stake them or run some string/rope around them to keep control of the plants. Not a big deal.

I'm probably plucking a few leaves a day still, but overall, I think enough leaves have been removed to accomplish my purpose- all bud sites (and future buds) are getting max light and not being blocked from ample light. This strain is a little slow in development, and that's why the breeder stated it could take up to 11 weeks to finish these off. The OKC will be done 7-10 days earlier.

So, another easy peasy grow, no issues at all, and it's just a waiting game for now. By all accounts, this is a wonderful strain, think "sour delish" with nice potency. Can't wait!

Interesting.......tonight we had storms roll thru, loads of hurricane warnings and such. We lost power for over 2 hours, and it only took 1/2 hour before the house stunk up. Point is (1) it's a really stinky strain, with a really sour, nose curling odor and (2) my carbon filter is doing one hell of a job. I may have to replace after this crop, used only 6 months.

And 3 weeks completed in flowering on Saturday..............7-8 weeks to go.

Yes, Phresh filter but I find they lose effectiveness over time, as all of them do. Lights went out around 3 hours earlier than normal, no big deal......... more pissed I missed some of my tv shows. LOL

At 27 days in flowering today, the strain is off to a slower than normal start- but it’s the strain, and with an 11 week flowering period, it was expected. Every day now I see things adding weight, in about 2 weeks, it should look amazing.

I’ve also been adjusting the lights upward a bit, as some plants are taller, mainly on the other side of the room with the Ethos OKC........ again, this is all about keeping them healthy and green, the rest will take care of itself in due time.
