i used a bucket with the ramp. fill bucket about 3/4 full of dirt and put mulch on top of the dirt and put the bait in the bucket. place a few pieces of bait leading up the ramp to the top of the bucket. do this for 3 days replacing the bait morning and night.

on the 4th day dump out the bucket and fill 3/4 with water. float the mulch and add the bait.

Anyway i made this home made trap , it's a bucket with 1 hole at each end and wire threaded through middle ,
with a bottle on the wire that spins and peanut butter spread all over for bait .
The plan is the rat walks up the wood and jumps onto bottle that spins and rat ends up in the bucket with 4" of water in the bottom (drowned rat)
It's been 2 nights and no rat has taken the bait , yet they have taken food out of the bbq .
Anyone got any better ideas regarding this trap setup ?
I could buy a rat trap , put it in the bbq and bang dead ratus . There's no fun or skill in that though !
What's your ideas people ?

A rat can jump out of that bucket. If you quit feeding the rat,. it will quit coming back. Clean up your f---ing yard!

That wil be 3 diff traps then , how lucky can a rat get ?
I used to snare rabbits as a kid , with a bit of fishing line and a tent peg , we caught hundreds like that
Rats are a bit smarter i'm thinkin !

This is getting funny! Maybe you should quit before you lose an eye or a finger.

wait a minute...this thread is still going??? how long has it been clint? Months? I'd get a bb gun and put some bait out and wait for the little bugger. Ping pow put

roxy'd be having rat for dinner :)
