i usually flip mine to flower by height. usually around 18" tall.
Well mine would be taller then that if i had just let it grow straight up..... since i'm going sides ways shouldI do width since my width is basically my height....am i making sense?

It's 1 foot wide on all sides around the fabric pot and 10 inches high with 70+ tops....wait one more week or so?

So apparently you gotta calibrate your ph pen every month....I just calibrated mines and realized my hydro water was a 3.5..yikes....glad I caught it...

Nothing wrong with going hydro your first whack at it....you just went way overboard with your purchases. Spent a bunch on stuff that was not 100% needed.

If you go hydro to start on your next grow let us know before hand and we can help you get it going in the correct direction.

Ill try to help as much as I can with the knowledge I have gained from fucking it all up myself.

First question I have is....do you have ac where you live...as in does your residence have central air?

That ac should not be required for a 2x4 grow space. If your inside air tempt is in the low 70s you should be able to manage the temps with enough air flow out the vents.

I stopped doing dwc for the same reason basically. I was not able to keep res temps in the tent down.

So I moved my res outside and pump water over buckets filled with expanded clay that then drains back to the res.

Those air pumps are massive over kill. Just one of those is designed for an 4 or 8 site grow. But it seems you have 1 for each bucket. To much air will soak your roots in the net pot and then the roots will never get oxygen....then they rot.

You only need a some what cheap pump for aquariums. 20$ or so. The one I currently use has lasted 2 years now.

2 plants should easily fill a 2x4 space. Things get very difficult to manage when you start adding more. I did 5 and it was a shit show. Even 2 plants can be a shit show. I filled my 2x4 tent easily with 2 auto flowers.

I'm not a soil guy so hard for me to help with that.

I went the sterile res direction because I had rot on my first 4 grows. Way easier to just kill everything in the water than to keep bennificial bacteria and what not. That is strictly in my opinion and what my small grow space allows.

Your plants are looking better so I hope it turns out all good in the end.

Ill post a few pics. 2 auto flowers in a 2x4x7. 600 watt hps...hps was added at wrong time causing the difference in size.

Pics are from different stages of the grow. The bigger the plant the more recent the pic.

And yeah. Calibrate that pen, shit caught me off guard many times. Once a month minimum.

Yeah I don't need the AC in the tent temps are normally fine...low 80's but then the water heats up to mid 70's....I bought the AC unit because I figured if i didn't need it i could use it in my room...i won't use it next grow I'll either buy a chiller or go all soil....I just wanted to get it to work...Thanks I will be reaching out to you when I start my next grow....
Keeping the Rez outside the tent is also I great idea...so many things I'd do differently....the problem is I had a month to just order shit while i was waiting for my tent to get delivered....

@Failmore yea bro I like the way your plants look....that was my goal when I started......I'll get it right I bet my next grow is awesome!!
Where did you get your scrog material from? The one that came with my tent is stupid and pointless....

It is garden netting. You are supposed to use it to surround an outdoor garden. I bought it at menards. Not expensive and 1 roll lasts several grows.

Your enthusiasm is top notch! I don't agree with the manner of some of Sleeze's replies...in his defense he was trying to be helpful and encouraging at first. You chose to think he was attacking you and that started the issue. Probably a misunderstanding.

If you are happy with your grow...that is A-ok with us. However, you should really try to accept solid information when it is presented. I am sure at some point you will want to harvest some actual budz.

I am sorry if this comment offends you...I agree with others that have said on this and literally thousands of other newbie threads...start simple and get more advanced in later grows. I have always grown in soil FFHF/Perlite 80/20%. Was going to try some DWC, ebb and flow etc...but decided that soil ain't broken so I'm not gonna fix it.

Best of luck to you and yours.

Baby Leaf 2 days later and her sisters....Switched the clock to 12-12 and now let's see if I actually get anything....there's a litany of things I'll improve upon next go around...My stems are turning green...I'm sure they were miscolored because the plants were basically dead at first with root rot...not really a concern of mine... I feel like I'll get a decent return out of the sour-d...I dunno if i got 4-6 oz's out of everything I'd be thrilled...less or more whatever I'll improve... Instead of being embarrassed to ask questions first... (bit of background I'm a developer so I feel like I can try anything figure it out and then go back and read the documents for a deeper understanding) I probably should have changed tactics here...but no actually i think this way was better because I got a lot of hands on experience of what actually occurs...like I know the temperature of my area and humidity...I'll a least get a taste side by side hydro and soil....I've basically killed these plants, and here they are growing like weeds.....
Hydro roots are coming along...it is growing it's still pretty small in comparison...it's pretty far behind those other plants....let see if hydro is worth it and it catches up in flower....

I think I should change my profile name to BabyLeaf that shit is hard!

The largest is sour D the longest is blue dream, so is the baby hydro...
The other two are GSC

It’s not about the amount we get it’s about the quality most reall fire hybrids yield small nugs ther are some bigger strains but the dankest I’ve found are smaller coated nugs.

This is why we grow at home....I'm here to not spend money at the dispensary and hoping it's fresh... I think he was trying to say they would be airy buds from lack of light or sickness..not small tight condensed fire nugs...but i'm giving them 300w led (lol 3000w if i go according to package) of light in a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 area as long as I don't burn the plants the nugs should be solid...and I've got my distance down at this point

Bro it comes down to genetics you have the light to to the job when I pheno hunt I get lots of airy buds but some fire dense keepers too.
Good luck mate

I’ve grew dense nugs under a cfl with one Gilato I have she is just dense no matter what and coated il find a pic later.
I jus grow at home in a 120/120 tent and a tiny 110 veg space but as ya say we at home it’s are thing just get a few nice moms and your golden.
I do got a mom space t5 220 W but ye I grow minimal old school hps and minimal veg like 14 days if seed 3 days if clone allows me to run 9 plants perpetually.
Harvest 4 oz every 2 weeks no probs.
I’ve only got 7 in at min as I was pheno hunting some hazes.
Soil small pots 5L.
Best way to go if ya want personall all time.
gives home growers with minimal space more choice.
As oppose to running four seeds or clones and waiting 8:9 weeks to find out they fluffy ect ya can just harvest 2 more 2 weeks later that probs won’t be.
I’ve seen my pal pull 2 oz of a 3 litre pot
Small perpetual the way for home growers I’d say.
Plasti Storage box’s to adjust hight I use.
even a plant every 2 weeks is nice.

Yea I'm thinking more plants and virtually no veg time next time....would probably make more sense

Also I'm at 650 PPM right now...sound about right for first week of flower? probably about 150PPM cal-mag 100 PPM GH part 1 and 2 and 200 PPM bloom? PH 6.5 for soil and 5.8 for hydro?
