Seven year old boy faces expulsion for toy gun

Yep, and schuylaar's post was irrelevant to the story...being as no cops were involved in the original story. How would the cops mistake the toy gun for a real one if the cops aren't even involved?
Maybe next time DARE Officer Gump with his rootin' tootin' IQ of 80 will see the toy gun in a child's hand and shoot the poor SOB, leaving the school on the hook for a huge lawsuit because they didn't enforce the rules about toy guns. It could have been prevented!

Are you saying that the boy should be suspended for at least a year like the handbook says?

Why wouldn't taking the gun away and mentioning it to the parents be enough?

He is facing expulsion, not expelled. Obviously expulsion should be saved for a child who took a toy gun to school and was purposely brandishing it and threatening other students with it. He will probably be suspended for a day or two to set an example for the other children.

Have you read the article?

It says "the school district shall expel for a period of not less than one (1) year any student who violates this weapon policy". This includes bringing weapons and replicas of weapons to school. And you say I am the dum dum?

I didn't read anywhere that it said he was brandishing it or threatening anyone with it. Seems like once he noticed it was in his bag, he tried to turn it in to the teacher. I don't think the kid should be punished for being honest. These schools are getting pretty strange nowadays. The kid might be better off being home schooled for a year.

Quit lying and misrepresenting the article to support your inane argument, dum dum.

“the school district shall expel for a period of not less than one (1) year any student who violates this weapons policy. Such expulsion shall be given in conformance with formal due process proceedings required by law. The Superintendent may recommend modifications of such expulsion requirement on a case-by-case basis.

Also:

"Mr. Simak told the Valley News Dispatch that his son was suspended twice before this incident but is not violent. One suspension was for pushing his friend during an argument, and another was for teasing on the school bus."

So it is not as if this is the first time the child has been in trouble.

Misrepresenting? How can I be misrepresenting it when I quoted it? "may recommend"? Go back under your rock...

midwesterngro did not make that claim. he was pointing out that the kid would probably be suspended for a day or two rather than expelled.

YOU made that claim as part of your anti-white persecution rhetoric. see my sig.

martin never got in trouble for fighting, not even for pushing someone or teasing someone. he was caught with an empty baggy which may have contained weed at one point.

you better go get your family (all 17 of them at your house currently) and form a lynch mob for that one after you put down your bowl of brown schwag.

Rayban's bag contained instruments of crime. burglary tools.

There are far worse things that a seven year old kid could bring to school besides a toy gun............a toy bomb perhaps... !
Where does it all end what are they trying to accomplish ?

absolutely nauseating. you are indeed an apologist. 3 suspensions from school, text messages describing fights, know drug abuse, found with IOC and swag.

"Bae........you gots to stop gettin' in fights........."
shoulda listened to his girl.

To summarize:

The progressive apologists, aka the RIU imbeciles, fully support zero tolerance policies to expel a seven year old boy from school for an infraction that resulted in no harm or damage to anybody or anything.

The progressive apologists, aka the RIU imbeciles, are also cheerleaders for every DEA raid on medical marijuana clinics in California, Washington and Colorado.

I think I see a pattern.
