Maybe next time DARE Officer Gump with his rootin' tootin' IQ of 80 will see the toy gun in a child's hand and shoot the poor SOB, leaving the school on the hook for a huge lawsuit because they didn't enforce the rules about toy guns. It could have been prevented!Yep, and schuylaar's post was irrelevant to the story...being as no cops were involved in the original story. How would the cops mistake the toy gun for a real one if the cops aren't even involved?
Are you saying that the boy should be suspended for at least a year like the handbook says?Maybe next time DARE Officer Gump with his rootin' tootin' IQ of 80 will see the toy gun in a child's hand and shoot the poor SOB, leaving the school on the hook for a huge lawsuit because they didn't enforce the rules about toy guns. He is facing expulsion, not expelled. Obviously expulsion should be saved for a child who took a toy gun to school and was purposely brandishing it and threatening other students with it. He will probably be suspended for a day or two to set an example for the other children. Are you saying that the boy should be suspended for at least a year like the handbook says?
Why wouldn't taking the gun away and mentioning it to the parents be enough?
Have you read the article? He is facing expulsion, not expelled. how many first graders were killed at sandy hook?
Quit lying and misrepresenting the article to support your inane argument, dum dum.Have you read the article?
It says "the school district shall expel for a period of not less than one (1) year any student who violates this weapon policy". This includes bringing weapons and replicas of weapons to school. And you say I am the dum dum?
Misrepresenting? How can I be misrepresenting it when I quoted it? "may recommend"? Go back under your rock...Quit lying and misrepresenting the article to support your inane argument, dum dum.
“the school district shall expel for a period of not less than one (1) year any student who violates this weapons policy. Such expulsion shall be given in conformance with formal due process proceedings required by law. The Superintendent may recommend modifications of such expulsion requirement on a case-by-case basis.”
Also:
"Mr. Simak told the Valley News Dispatch that his son was suspended twice before this incident but is not violent. One suspension was for pushing his friend during an argument, and another was for teasing on the school bus."
So it is not as if this is the first time the child has been in trouble.

trayvon martin gets in trouble in school: That's Racist!
Rayban's bag contained instruments of crime. burglary tools.midwesterngro did not make that claim. he was pointing out that the kid would probably be suspended for a day or two rather than expelled.
YOU made that claim as part of your anti-white persecution rhetoric. see my sig.
martin never got in trouble for fighting, not even for pushing someone or teasing someone. he was caught with an empty baggy which may have contained weed at one point.
you better go get your family (all 17 of them at your house currently) and form a lynch mob for that one after you put down your bowl of brown schwag.
