I'll admit I hold him in higher regard than the rest of the clown car known as the GOP.
I liked his attempt to keep the Freedom Act from being signed into law.
I like his work trying to get marijuana laws changed and few other positions he has.
No way I would defend him if he drone bombed a US citizen without due process and believe some feeble attempt to redefine due process though. That would take an idiot.

If you put up stats on Fox's overwhelming ratings crush, I wouldn't assume you were a righty. If you bashed MSNBC, I wouldn't assume you were a righty.
Now if you said Fox doesn't spin, I would. I haven't seen all of those guys do that. Not saying they haven't, just saying I've only seen a few.
I have seen some say there is a difference between news and opinions and saying someone like Beck is news is laughable. Are you including them in your group because they accused you of doing this?

Like I said before, saying it's not news doesn't change the fact that the target audience DOES THINK IT'S NEWS. That tactic has been destroyed numerous times before and anyone who gives it a little bit of thought can see right through it themselves. If they didn't want to portray themselves as a legitimate news network, they wouldn't call it "FOX NEWS", they wouldn't have taglines that say "Fair and Balanced" or "The No Spin Zone" or "The most trusted NEWS NETWORK on television"..

Hopefully most people realize cable news is about ratings and leave it at that. In that regard, they are pretty much one like the other. Same with the talking heads, if you tune in and take those shows as gospel, whether FOX or MSNBC, then congrats, you are an american voter.

Unfortunately that's not the case. I would say most people believe what they see on mainstream cable "news" is actually real news. That's how the propaganda machine works and why it works so effectively. You have entertainment organizations masquerading as legitimate news sources to avoid the FCC regulations on legitimate journalism, that's the only reason they do it. Why would they use those taglines and phrases if for no other reason than to make the viewer believe it? All cable news networks do it, not just FOX, that's just the most obvious one to anyone watching it through an objective lense.Hopefully most people realize cable news is about ratings and leave it at that.
