Over Watered?

Posting again in the correct forum (Newbie)

I'm a first time grower. I managed to germinate two Afghan Landrace Seeds. They had healthy taproot. I transplanted both in organic soil, added some perlite. I watered the pot before planting the seeds (not sure if I should have done that, since the soil was already moist). Later I checked with the hyrdo-meter for moisture and it showed "Wet" on the scale of 1 to 10, my pots are currently in between 8 & 9. The seeds haven't been in there for more than couple of hours now, should I be worried that there is too much water in my pots ? Should I re-pot them?

You'll befine as long as you dont have them snap on trays on your pots... and that the soil isnt pouring water if you tip the pot..lol.
Just dont water for awhile and let the ride it out. Or seening its only been a couple hours you could gentley take them out and remove the top half of soil and put new drier soil back and replant..

Lose the water meter and just be patient
let the soil gradually dry adding a fan will help

Someone else suggested I change the soil since I was panicking anyways (newbie stuff) so I just did that. Didn't add any water this time around.
Earlier my pot was not dripping a lot of water maybe few drops here and there.

Update: One seed is DEAD! Like friggin' taproot broke off from the seed, taproot had no sign of rot as it was still white in color as it was when i planted it but the inside of the seed where the cotyledons should have been was all mushy and brown and showed no sign of any development (should have taken it's picture too)
