In the most simple of terms, the plant uses its leaves to capture sunlight for energy, and to sweat. The roots drink and absorb energy from the soil.

As far as I know, pruning is unnecessary outdoors unless you have a particularly bushy, dense plant, and need to improve airflow. Indoors it's a bit more crucial, depending on the environment and the cultivar.

Depends on what's in the potting soil already. Varies a lot. Anything on the bag? IME potting soil that has peat in it, like yours, is usually pretty preloaded with ferts. The plants look great, light green but lush. I hope someone steps up and helps you with fertilizer advice - not a soil grower myself. And yeah, don't prune.
 
Thanks for the advice guys. I’ve not fed them since planting. Should I just fertilize them with miracle grow or something like that? They seem to be growing an inch or two a day now. They all look healthy and pretty. I watered them hard yesterday and the sun never showed up. Cloudy all day, and looks like the same today. No more water for awhile.
 
I think the plants are going great? I’m thinking I should put them in the ground. I’m worried about someone stealing them. Any advice for a newbie and what do you guys think about the grow? 2 of them are much smaller than the others, but I think they are a different strain. Of course, I didn’t mark them. Newbie mistake,. Let me know what you guys think.

If the original intent was to put them in the ground now would be a good time . I'd keep an eye on that tall one . Looks kinda "male'ish" .

A nice deep hole and a handful or two of something like Espoma Gardentone would do them well .

I don’t think there’s any males. I bought the seed from a reputable distributor. Thanks for your advice, I think you’re right. Would they be able to grow through there life cycle if I leave them in the 5 gallon grow bags?
 
It’s been awhile since I posted on my first plants but I noticed one of them look like it’s getting weird. What’s this?
