hmmm, I couldn't say wither way, I have heard of people using beach sand (much of that is coral depending on where you are) to help control the ph, but I have no experience doing so.
In theory i'd say it's probably ok, but I don't know, only 15-20% shells seems sorta chinsy to me...
That's 85% something else.. i'd be concerned with it's content. and it's soluble-ness

I topdress with comfrey shavings, worm castings, and the "tops" of the old pots that are waiting for the next run, when I say the tops I mean the all the aeration that has accumulated over the grow.
But I only do that if I think it needs it, it's not everytime.
If the soil tension is too much, you may have too much peat and EWC in it, kinda why I prefer more compost rather than castings.
A good thing to use to fix that is oyster shells, like the stuff they use for chickens, or horticultural sand. Plus they sorts kinda control the PH, not as much as oyster flour though.
Or the usuals, perlite, vermiculite, rice hulls, etc.

I have chickens and oyster shell, I didnt know that it was the same. On the package, it says added carbonate?

hah, oh yea, forgot about that guy.. that's the cool thing about being a potsmoker...
I often forget about the people that I don't agree with.
Granted I probably was a lil more aggressive with him than I normally am, I just don't get why people ask the questions that they do.
I mean facts are facts.. that was the "radioactive granite dust" argument I think..
My shop is RIGHT next door to a granite and marble cutter... so I know a LOT about all that... silicosis and such... Not a pleasant way to die... if there is such a thing
but it's all good, the ignore feature is DAMN good.... wish it worked like that in the real world.

I need to utilize the ignore button! I feel as dumb as he is when I argue with him...
Just so that you know, I am not going to show up in sana cruz and try to hang out or anything.. Just crossed my mind when my buddy said that he is moving back there. My battle buddie is from sacremento and I would probably see him over anyone else. I dont want you to think that I am that kind of crazy. I am cool until people run thier mouth. I waited a week until I said something to him and kind of lost it when I saw what he said to you.
Dude, you handled it like Ghandi compared to me. I really want to smash that kid, but I will probably never have the chance!

Back on topic... get Marijuana Garden Saver by J.C. Stitch (Edited by Ed Rosenthal). It's a great pocket sized reference book.

Oh man... I feel ya...
I used to have a severe issue with anger management.. got expelled three different times from school, juvenile record, etc, etc..
really, and as cheesy as it sounds, I was sorta "tamed" by my last couple girlfriends.. or it simply could be because i'm getting closer to 40 (damnit)
Oh and nothing crazy with hangin out with friends man, I wouldn't offer to smoke out with folks I don't wanna smoke out with..
Besides, I sorta get I kick out of smoking people out on some of the strains I have.
Like showing off your fast ride..
Am I right?
