Thank god I'm also in southern Oregon like right next to northern cali border and inland about 50 miles! This thread is scaring the shit out of me. i finally got the roof plastic on my greenhouse a couple weeks ago My buds are almost ozing resin and really plumping!. It's been really sunny all week BUT on monday and tuesday its supposed get down in the 30s at night! So I'm hoping my heater and dehumidifier will prevent bud rot. Does Southern Oregon even have problems with bud rot and caterpillars?
It's suppose to get down to 32-33 @ both my spots in cali and Oregon. Its really not a big deal it wont kill your plants just make them a lil purple. If you think about it, its only really 30 degrees at the lowest point @ night right before the sun comes out. Technically the plants will only be in 30 degree temps for an hour or so at most then it warms up. If you have large containers lime 200 gallon smart pots for instance your even better off cause they buffer the root zone and all the dirt insulates the roots.

Me and my girlfriend built that 25x60 in 2 days all materials from the good old home depot. If your looking for a cheap small greenhouse I would suggest the eclipse flower house 12x24 powder coated steel easy to put together. 1200 bucks with clear plastic and black out tarp
What type of plastic did you use, and what are your ribs made of? I build a small one this spring using painted pvc, and plastic from home depot. Tonight Mark's the third time I've had to replace the plastic.... Need a better solution for next year.

It was 1 year 8mil poly greenhouse plastic from the grow store. Non woven. Think I paid 250 for a roll that was 100x42

Temps are getting low tonight, storms blowing in you can feel the cold air pushing in. Rain starting in the middle of the night tonight. Suppose to have some showers tomorrow and Sunday. Cut out some more mold from my cookies and gelato, its still pretty minimal. Hoping for the best because they still have a few weeks left.

It's looking like a potential early frost in the Portland area Monday/Tuesday. Average frost date is late November.

It was about 90% humidity last night.

I have them in 30 gallon pots but I only have 12 plants in 50 ft Length X 12 ft width x 13.5 High. I made it really tall so the plants had plenty of air space between the roof and the tops. My tallest plant is 7 ft tall and the others are 6ft about. So anyway my plants have more than enough airspace.

Hey Beneficalife11 what week are your Gelato plants in, in flower. And ya got any pics.Curious at the difference in appearance between yours and mine.Mine is in the same week, 7 as my Skittles..Yet my Skittles is looking almost all the way done.Pistils red and sunken ,buds swollen, and loaded with crystals. My Gelato however still has white hairs, though finally starting to wilt and turn, and the buds are not nearly as frosty..the majority of the tris are on the edges of the bed leaves, as say opposed to my other strains where the whole leaves were covered. Its a weird looking plant..for sure, but purdy.

I'm just curious why do most growers not grow classic strains in oregon? I started growing classics like Afghan Kush, trainwreck, herijuana, purple kush, space queen? Is southern oregon climate not ideal for these strains? The afghan kush and space queens are growing amazing for me!

Theyre deff are, my landlords own a farm and grow alot of old school stuff. I grew alot of stuff from TGA last year like cheese quake, agent orange, space queen, qush, purgatory ect.... My landlords have the original blueberry. It's just the way the industry evolved I think if anything southern oregon farmers grow more old school gear then Cali folks. It's all about the OG, cookie, and sour crosses. Anything with terps and a name related to food sells.

I'm still chugging along- probably have 2-3 weeks to go

My Chernobyl is purpling a bit from some cold weather we had, and my Blackcherry Cheesecake is yellowing heavily, but no mold/mildew or bugs so far- if I can keep this together for 3 weeks I'll be looking really good

Another obnoxious stray shower this morning. Still I have no rot or worms. I owe that to good clean living and the fact that my ACDC is sativa like in budding so it seems not prone to rot as an indica would be.

Yeah I think its because I was buying from dispensaries most of the time they have the weirdest crosses and stuff I never heard of. I notice lots of the dispensaries these days are targeting newbie smokers with low tolerances.
Stuff is pretty weak cause they early cut and probably have knock off genetics. Anyway can"t wait to harvest my crop no more dispensaries for this guy!

It's interesting that the 2 plants we had under cover have had more rot then the 2 hemp plants that we have out in the open. There was plenty of airflow in the covering. The undercover plants were Blue Kali and Old Time Indiana Bubblegum. They are both in the drying room. The hemp are Cherry Wine, which it seems like all the hemp fields in our area are growing, those are still growing.
