If you're in the PNW and you're plants are not covered you better do something. Another week of rain and low temperatures. I can smell the bud rot.

I'm fortunate to have a greenhouse to keep mine out of the rain. Ciskei in the back and and a couple F2's of a Panama/Pakistani Chitral Kush cross I made. They were also also a reveg that I stuck outside in the spring after sexing and not having room in the flower tent. I have to say, that Ocean Forest soil can keep a plant going. They're in 1 1/2 gallon pots and were watered with the hose all summer. No nutrients which is why they have yellow leaves. I've since given them a good feeding and despite my aversion to defoliating I've cleaned them up considerably due to them being outside. Even though they're in a greenhouse it's not heated and it just keeps them dry it doesn't have much impact on humidity or temperature except during the day if the sun is out. I cleaned up the greenhouse as well getting rid of spiders and such. I didn't realize how many pots and trays I had.

Tomato weighed 17.53 oz. It's a beefsteak variety called "Delicious". I plan on growing it again next year. I have BIG hands but short fat fingers. Which sucks because I played the Violin when I was much younger and bought one a year or so ago but can't play it because my fingers are too damn fat. Can't play the guitar either because of my fingers. I'm thinking of buying a Cello.

What a lovely fricken day.....

That's a really cool greenhouse xtsho. I need to start checking around for one. Right now mine are dry, but they are under our upper story deck, that's on the North side of the house. Zero light. I'll probably hack something together like @Gravypurps . I don't have the curtain rods or bamboo, but I do have some spare extra long closet hanger rods and cvcc pipe. Oh. And tons of Gorilla Tape. Lol. Off to Lowes to get some plastic....

Haha..I've since added two shower curtains for a south wall, which I pulled out to make a bit more space. In the last 2 weeks, I've now dealt with Poo M, caterpillars, in my Gelato Indica( use that Monterey spray! Organic..and everywhere,Ace,Walmart, etc.),and now I may have caught mites thankfully before they got my V.Black/Gravy Purps ladies...This end of season was just a big bunch of crap with no Indian summer, I had plants that were ready to bud out and finish around 2lbs a pc.like last year. Its just so crappy watching a season's worth of money and hatd work go down the shitter a few weeks before harvest.Fingers crossed..no rot.

Yeah the weather sucks. And at the worst possible time. I have a disabled friend that lives out by the coast. They are on a fixed income and don't have money for equipment or electricity to grow inside and their outdoor grow is what they smoke on all year. He's got PM and bud rot all over his plants. He was almost in tears telling me about it when he stopped by the other day. I gave him a zip of some of my best stuff, a container of dry ice hash, and told him to hit me up later if he needs to. Going to be many people losing a good portion of their crop.

I'm still mold and bug-free and nervous as hell
Me as well. Had a 4-hr sun break yesterday so was able to let the girls dry out a bit, but the poncho went back on last night preceding the deluge. Gawd this is an awful September. The fall storms are rolling in like it's November already and no significant relief in sight. The rain has been bad enough, but to follow with a cold front pretty much ends the season. I'm gonna try to stretch out the grow for a couple weeks, but first sign of bud rot or PM and the girls are coming down. Crap!

The fort just about broke apart. Pulled off a good amount of bud rot today. Caterpillars running rampant too but hey, I've got strains that look like they're gonna push right thru the beginning of november so maybe they'll fare the weather since they're not super chunked up yet! Gonna keep up on this BT at least one more time and try out the hydrogen peroxide spray to try and keep these babies from spreading any spores around. Fun fun in the city!

Kaka! Had to cut off 4 colas from my Jorge's Diamond today to trim out bud rot. Got all the girls covered up for tonight's showers. If I can just get them past the Sunday thuderstorms....

Why did you cut the whole cola? Next time, just trim the rot away.Ive got a few here and there that I've now noticed on my purp, because it's so dense, just cut away the bud it's on and leave the rest to finish!

Even in the greenhouse I'm finding some rot. The damn humidity being around 83. I don't have a climate controlled greenhouse. I'll probably rig a fan up on the back window to pull air through. Won't lower the outside humidity but better airflow is good.

Took out about a third of my purp's top yesterday after damn near crying after all the hard work and they being my bombest plants..and the darkest buds.God damn caterpillars that lead to bud rot.Sprayed again with the PT..Praying I get some good bugs from em still but to cut out so much of my beautifully grown hard work after tending to them daily before all the rain is a real heart breaker.

Man, you guys have me worried as hell about things. This rain has been HORRIBLE here. I've got my stuff covered, but still...

Quick question- this is only my second grow, but I've spent hundreds, if not thousands of hours reading and lurking. I haven't had any luck in finding out what has been deposited on my plants. Do you guys know what this black shit is? Is it bug crap? It shows up once or twice a week, and I just chop the whole leaf off....

It's on my (supposedly) GG4.

I've got no bud rot yet (knocking on wood). I did get a VERY late start this year though. I'm not expecting to harvest one plant until early or mid November, and the next one should be around early December. I know, I know; I'm screwed..... Lol.

I veg'd over last winter with CFL's and LED's. I just don't have enough power yet to finish these off inside. SO, outside they stay; and soon I will have more grey hair than the geek! (j/k)

Guys! I’m seeing what I’m told is Bud Rot. And I also pulled out 2 huge green caterpillars this morning plus cut a few flowers off. I’m so close to harvest but don’t wanna lose any more. It’s my first grow ever. Growin outdoors in SW Portland. Should I just harvest now? I am about 6-7 weeks in flowering on Super Lemon Haze. This grey shit is killing
Me!!! Should I lop off the whole flower or what?! I wanna save as much as I can. This dreary drizzle and also cold nights are killing me.

At a minimum you need to cut out the rot ASAP. If you can excise all of what you can see, then douse the bud with 100 ml Hydrogen Peroxide in a liter of water you have a good chance of saving what's left -- until the next infection appears. If you can dip the buds in the H2O2 soln, even better. Keep after it, and repeat with each ocurrence as you spot them. If you feel like you're losing too much, time to chop.
