yepp, had that problem TONS of times haha. but you could put a cup or bowl of water close to ur plants and it'll evaporate and keep the moisture up. or you could just mist them with a small spray bottle once or twice a day =)

Hey, I was playing around with the spreadsheet I created to track grow costs, and it suddenly occurred to me that some of the folks here might like something similar. If you're interested I could post a basic sheet so that you can see what i have in mind, then adjust it as you give me feedback about other costs/items you want to add. At the moment it is a 3 page excel spreadsheet (using the 2003 excel version) that has a basic costs sheet then supplementary sheets to calculate and import electricity and nutrient costs to the main sheet. I can also add an equipment depreciation sheet , but I'm going to have to know exactly what types of equipment you have so that i can adjust the depreciation schedules for the right number of months/years.

Note: I am a degreed accountant and I specialize in cost accounting. All my calculations are done according to proper GAAP standards, and are suitable for business use. I do NOT use any questionable methods, so don't bother asking me for advice on how to pay your personal bills with business funds or any other method of cheating the system.

tried that lol. its too dry here (16%) I just need mulch or pebbles or something. I dont think that the humidity or more so the lack of is a problem really.

hey just needed some help with my growth..check out my profile and let me kno whats good with my plant if anyone can help thank you

Hello and welcome, I saw in your profile that you moved your plant(s) outside. I'm gonna guess that you are gona be stuck waiting for fall to flower as that is when the suns light will change to tell the plant to begin flowering. Outdoors we are not in control (why I grow indoors) you are left to follow mother natures way and dependant upon the seasons for the sun to go 12/12, good news is the plants will be huge and you should get pretty good yields.

pics of the clone (blue crimea) the grow space and the 4 seedlings. I burned them again right before the last pictures i posted. you can see the damage very clearly now.

Well ya looks like ya burned em, I would wait a few weeks and watch new growth before feedin em again and they look overwatered? but soil looks dry? kinda wierd, I would get rid of the damaged leaves (they are not coming back) and def get em some humidity

Is this the one your waiting to water?? if so water em!!! no nutes, just water

Hey Ed

I don't have a need to track cost and such, only doing medicine for myself but I am sure that others would be interested and if you could somehow translate cost vs yield and somehow predict yield (based on previous, maybe?) you would have something you could actually sell to others :bigjoint:

oh you know all the newbies would buy it just to be able to figure out yields and if he came up with one for lighting needs that would be pimp too :)

Riddle,

Cost versus yield is already part of what i designed, since that was the whole point of tracking my costs. I can set it up to run either direction based on the numbers you enter- either you can figure out exactly what it cost you per ounce on your current grow once the harvest is in and the yield is known, or I can set up one to let you precalculate what it will cost you to grow based upon an averaged yield, variable costs and grow time. I can even build a sheet that combines the two and adjusts the predictions as the grow progresses so that you can see the differences between what you predicted and what your actual costs are as the grow progresses.

I'm seriously considering branching out and getting into MMJ accounting on a serious basis, so someday I may turn these programs into something for sale, but at this point I'm not worried about being paid for any of this. If someone wants something more complex or that uses a different program (Access, for example) we can talk about money, but what I've got here is a freebie for anyone that grows and wants to keep track of their costs.

Very nice! I'm sure there are growers here that will use it, I have been thinking about setting up some kind of support service for the now hundreds of dispenseries but with the new laws/rules constantly changing I keep waiting for things to settle. but what your talking about would fit in nicely

dispensaries support service....now you got my attention...do tell ... this is a concept i haven't heard yet bongsmilie
I talk to folks every day, I am hearing just so many wrong things and I think that there are alot of NooB's opening/running disp's

they do not all seem to have a clue. I have one friend that wants Indica couchlock and so he ask which ones are indica,,,,,and they don't know
(I gave him a big book of buds book)

one that touches the bud, one that uses tweezers, one keeps buds in baggies, one in tuperware

All of them are displaying buds in jars under lights and opening them practically constantly, the buds are over dry when you get em

it's as if none of them know that light degrades thc???? WTF?

one that lets you see the scale wieght, one that doesn't

So my idea is something like a corporate advisor, that teaches them how to succeed in little ways that folks are not thinking about?

yup sure have i have found on my skunks that i get great growth on a strait 16/8 cycle if i put them on anything other my growth will eventually slowdown to a crawl or stop altogether... they are kinda touchy like that... now when i have northern lights in the cab i can pump all the light to them i want and they just take off as long as i don't go below 18 and im good ... but when you flip them to 12/12 they freak out for about 2 or 3 days and stop dead then take off again... now i haven't tryed any sativas in the cab yet but i know my morrocan kiff likes a 15 hour day the best but is doing good ... not great ... on a 16 hour day right now but i don't think she is gonna make it .. ive applied all the tricks of the trade and she just keeps going downhill like she is starving slowly and even with cutting the roots and repotting she is still liek that...time will tell... bongsmilie

have not used nutes on them at all yet. i watered them and covered the soil with some plastic to keep the moisture in the cup. I will be going out to get a humidifier on the weekend.

Ok, I'll go ahead and post what I've got so far as soon as I make sure I can actually upload an excel spreedsheet attached to my post. :)

I like the idea of a dispensary support service riddle. Something along the line of a small company that can teach dispensaries various proper business practices as well as looking at how they are currently running things and suggesting ways they could improve their service, products, etc. I have the same hesitancy about getting into the business that you do- the laws are changing so fast that you can't make any long term plans or predictions. I'm also concerned because most of my business is governed by the Fed's, and until there are some definative rulings about how MMJ accounting is going to be handled in legal states I can't be 100% sure that the rules I've been taught are actually going to apply.

Yeah, the recent read on channel 4's web site was a bit frustrating (post link in the CO med growers thread, not my post)

but I also think the state is being short sighted in this cause I see opportunity for drug testing to commence as well and there could be alot more money in that than in growing :bigjoint:

imagine that every drug commercial has the required statements by law like cialis should not be taken by people using ansaid pain relievers

what about MJ and say a drug that is prescribed for MS,,,,there needs to be testing and those commercials aired in a MMJ legal state need to inform people about possible reactions that might occur

and that = a lot more jobs and $$$ for the state if they would just wake up and get a clue???
