This makes me glad for LED lights. Having run 30 amp dedicatated line to my old grow room for a couple of 1k lights, fans, ect, Now I can run my whole room off a 20 amp breaker. easy to just drop in a breaker, run some line for a couple of plugs and done.
Well, Stupid is as stupid does.

My goal is the good old fashioned beloved Hortilux Eye Super HPS bulb growing and my personal medical strain.
It has worked just fine in the past and I have always harvested the heat of those prehistoric devices for enriching the Human living space in winter weather. I like it. It has been a wonderful source of both plant growth and maturity.
I simply like getting more for my electric bill.

So let me ask LED folks, and I realize the art of the science from my perspective has advanced in ten years.
What do you do when your LEDs' start dimming out? Nothing lasts forever. Do you get the tweezers out and replace LEDs?

So yeah this is my Medical Grow Studio and I will get all I can for the money I spend.
Hortilux Eye bulbs are Gold in my mind.

Naturally not every strain benefits from my setup. The Science should keep advancing.

Peace and Love.

Actually this can depend greatly on the led fixture you go with. I personally went with ChilLed Growcrafts because of this very thing. I wanted to be able to order a replacement part. ChilLed led strip runs like 80 bucks. The driver is 300. So if one of my diodes goes out or needs replaced I can order a part and go on with my life. Also most of the quality led fixtures run the leds way under power load to increase their life time. But a good LED light should last 100,000 hours. Most say 50k hours which is 6 years if you run them 24/7. so 12 years for 12/12. 9 year average. I spent 900 bucks per light. So 100 per year per light. I was spending 480 in bulbs a year with Eye Super HPS bulbs. and that was if NONE of them went bad early. Nvm the fact that i went from running a couple of 8 inch hydrofarm inline fans for exhaust and 2 6 inch in-lines for intake down to just 2 6 inch ac infinity's with passive intake. Long term, LED's are cheaper. ChilLed's website even has a Rate of Return calculator that you can use to see how much they save you over time.

I ran a couple of 1ks in a vertical set up for years. Grow journal about it over in the vertical sub somewhere. I used to also just grow from like oct-mar/april just so I could use the heat from the lights to warm the basement of my house. I wouldnt really grow during the summer. But now with LED's being worth getting I'm growing year around.

The Science did advance. In 2019 when samsung dropped the LM3030 LED lineup then followed up the following year with a Horticulture version of this chip that changed the LED market. See you didnt need these huge metal boxes like the Black Dogs with fans and everything else to make a grow light. Quantum panels hit the market followed by a chinese version called the spider-farmer. HLG started making a board. Then Gavita dropped their Bar fixture and Leds are where they are at now. The price is getting better as well.
On top of that, AC Infinity came out hard with their inline fans and sensor controller. With a fan controller that can be set up to just change air out or help control temp and humidity all from a sensor is outstanding.
Pulse One came out with a sensor to monitor heat, humidiy, DLI, VPD and the Pro comes with CO2 monitoring additionally. This allows your to really dial in your grow environment.
Finally, Newa came out with a 4 way power stirp that can control lights, humidifer, dehumidifer fans ect through your phone.

Please please dont take them as me telling you to change anything or do something different. Just info for you to mull on.

And yet this is my house. My thread.

Dig it?

You mistake anger with mockery. Dont ask a question then get all pissy when you get a answer. Bad form.

The estimates I see for LED diodes in terms of longevity/efficaciousness is ~10 years.

My Choice for Lighting

It is no secret that I have a new beginning and a chance for a wonderful grow-room.
My choice in lights are four VIVOSUN Hydroponics 6" Air Cooled Grow Light Reflector for 250/400/600/1000W HPS/MH Bulbs, four Galaxy Remote Commercial Electronic Ballast, 1000 Watt - 120/208/240 Volt - ETL Listed and four Eye Hortilux 1000-Watt Super HPS Grow Bulb, 1-Pack, Red .
I chose to stay with a brand name and my two light controllers are Titan Controls HGC702820 Helios 11 Light Controller, 4, White. I went with two units here because there is no 30 Amp receptacle in my electric plans hence two wonderful triggered light controllers. Keeping the loads on electric light and safe.

I choose this path because I have had quality harvest and I have harvested the heat from those bulbs. My personal medical strain has known nothing but wonderful Hortilux Eye.
I choose bulbs at this time because over the coming years all I need to do to "revitalize" the light output is change a light bulb.

So that is the end of discussion on lights for my build.

New beginning and a chance for a old ass inefficiant grow room. Went with a name brand bulb but then you buy chinese knockoffs reflector and ballasts. LOL. Titan controller even. For what you spent on building this room for 2002, you chould have had a full led grow room and not be sucking power. But you know SCIENCE, who needs that stuff.
Then your rude to the people talking to you on your grow. Cant wait to see the hps pics asking whats wrong with your plants. So excited. So what does everyone else use for Lights?
I guess you just have to be an asshole.
I owe you nothing.
You are trespassing and spamming.
I dont have to be an asshole, but YOU sure do bring it out of me.
No but you sure do like spending unneccessary amounts of money cause you want to " have a quality harvest". It acutally shows your inability to evolve with new technology. It also shows you dont know how to use Google search or youtube very well.
Tresspassing? BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA SPAMMING BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Stop crying. Its really sad.

Not so friendly grower, I've posted once and it was in direct reply to your question?

Forgive me for mistaking your intent in asking that question. I have no care about what light you choose in any direction.
Yeah he came to a "grow forum" and posted on a grow room design and thread. I mean this thread would have been hella cool in like 2001. But now its like, what grower sold you their used hps stuff when they switched to LED. Oof

I honestly don't care about what kind of light he uses. I was trying to answer a question he asked because I thought he wanted information.

I thought it was a cool project originally.

Take a look at the Gang Bang here.
just what about me building my grow room is bothering you two?
LIke that idea of a dude gang bang huh? Nothing abut you building your shack is bothering me. If im concerned about anything (and that's a big if) its about the poor fireman that are going to have to put your house out while you think of gang bangs. Those poor firemen.

Well since both of you have no issues one would assume you both have better things to do.
Move along.
Both of you are trespassing.
