That's demonstrably false though.

If 100 people represent the entire voting body and 51 vote for something entirely the opposite of what the other 49 people vote for, the 49 people essentially have voted, but their votes don't matter, hence they "don't count".

A democracy is a tool of oppression, which I just demonstrated above. I'd love to hear your counter argument, disproving mine.
