for sure, roots are hurting. get rid of that damn water pump setup. its not needed. if you have to just top water by hand until roots emerge. seems like you might have a light leak, do a look over.

im also confused cus ur saying tablespoons and roseman is saying teaspoons...and is it just 2 teaspoons/tablespoons period or 2 tea/tablespoons per gallon my my res water need anwser ASAP now they are all starting to die in that res
That's right, I'm saying two TABLESPOONS per gallon, and this is with the fresh nutrient solution that you will be growing in. You need to be a little more aggressive to control your infestation in my opinion.

If you're worried about the H2O2 solution harming your plants, Ed Rosenthal recommends 3 ounces of 3% per gallon, which is 6 tablespoons.

http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/2318.html

I've used 6 tablespoon's per gallon without problem. Your plants are still on the young side, though, so I would start with 2 tablespoon's per gallon.

And yes, you want to maintain this level for at least a couple of weeks to keep the DO maxed out and knock back any nasties.

here now this is only the one res....the one with the problem the other res is DOING GREAT
Fuck, those roots have got bacterial slime on them. I hate to say it, but you're on the verge of loosing these plants. You might as well get real aggressive with the H2O2 in my opinion...

I've had that same slime on my roots before, I was able to fend it off by following the 8 step recovery plan, but my plants never got that far... I would follow Dystopia's advice, hit them with the h2o2, it's a miracle worker in my res!! I use it pretty consistently since the last time I had problems, and have had no negative results..

okay guys thx for the info thats what im doing right now hopefully at the least i can save those last 3....i cant get that fucking smell outa the res either...its had that smell for 3 days now and weve cleaned out the pumps and everything and changed the res out i did it up good with the peroxide hopefully this will save them but well see i guess.

i'm not sure, but I think the smell might persist until the problem passes. Might be root rot, or some other dead organic material in the res.(that's usually what it means)

The smell is proably coming from the bacteria being harbored in the hydroton in the pots. You should probably give the pots an H2O2 bath as well. Look at this, post number 8 under over-watering, to see what I'm talking about:

https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/1469-marijuana-plant-problems-cures.html

I would mix up a batch of pH'd water with 6 tablespoons of 3% H2O2 per gallon and let the pots soak in that for a couple of hours (or even overnight), then put them back in the res...

Yes, just like the picture in the link I gave you. Put them in a seperate container that has enough water/H2O2 solution to come to about an inch or so below the tops of the pots. You want to soak all of the root system, but don't let the water reach the base of the plants.

Hopefully, this will help kill off the bacteria that's still being harbored in the pots. To be honest, though, there's no guarantee that you're going to be able to save these plants. If you're set up for cloning then I would consider taking some cuttings from the healthiest plants to start over with in case you can't save these ones...you can even just take some cuttings and try to root them in a glass of water...

ya this is just one my one setup i have another duplicate setup with 6 plants in it that are doing MUCH better than this one ever was...they are healthy standing up straight and growing alot each day still....ima try to save those 2 runts...cus they still look okay but those 3...are deff almost dead...and r not getting any better...so either way ima have 6-8 plants still....and shit if the runts die tooo i can just order some seeds and go ahead and start again with that seperate res. or i may just take some clones off my good plants...thx for the info man ima try to do what i can but i guess ill remember this for next time...and do something about it earlier i waited to long to figure it out....but o well....u learn as u go lol

Had it happen to me a couple of times too! It was wtf to oh, I see! When I read seed info some strains even say they start out slow. For instance, Blueberry is often slow out of the gate.

and i wanna try out this mesh/chicken wire thing above the plants to hold them...what do i need to do when i do something like this and how does it increase yield...im confused about the idea of it....but i like it and what i see on other grows it looks like it helps majorly...what is this called newayz i dont even know how to ask without showing a pic lol...hopefully yall get the idea of what im talking about without a pic.

You also have to allow for different pheno in a given strain. Some kids are slow learners but when they get it they catch up quick.

Scrog is a method to develop an even canopy. The purpose is to expose as many potential bud sites to the light as possible. For me it's a major pain in the ass but I may just not know how to do it properly. I can manage my canopy with supercropping just fine for now but like you I've seen many great grows with scrog! Just another thing I need to get good at. I got the 2" chicken wire when I get the urge.
