My First Bubbleponic grow

Yeah that's probably what's causing the issue. What's the temp in your other res? I would not put ice in there. It will shock any roots that touch it and it will be a while before they start to grow again. Turn off your water pump for a little bit and it should drop 3-5 degrees. What do you mean turn down the air?

Yeah, man, your roots are shutting down and the plant is drowning, probably because of a pathogen attack in low dissolved oxygen (DO) water conditions.. The reason it is only happening with the smaller plants (so far) is probably because the bigger plants are more established and able to ward off attack better.

Follow Roseman's 8-step recovery. I would also recommend to STOP using the Liquid Karma (organic nute) until you get this under control, and adding 2 tablespoons of 3% hydrogen peroxide per gallon to your nutrient mix until the plants COMPLETELY recover. The H2O2 will help to stave off the nasties and increase the DO in the water.

Don't add the H2O2 full strength directly to the water with roots in it. If you can, take the plants out of the res and then add the H2O2, or drain out half of the res into a bucket, add the H2O2 into the bucket to dilute it, then add the water back to the res slowly. And you'll need to add H2O2 to the top-off water at the same rate - 2 tablespoons 3% per gallon.

The plants should perk up pretty rapidly, but I would keep up the H2O2 regimen for a couple of weeks at least.

If the roots are in the water, then turn off the water pump; this should decrease the temp in the water. The lower the water temp, the more DO in the water, and the harder it is for the nasties to survive.

Amen to Dystopia's post. I would also check the water pump's filter for trash and clean it.

It's supposed to be 2 teaspoons per gallon. I would follow Roseman's 8 Step Recover Method. Add 2 teaspoons per gallon of H2O2 and drain and rinse everything. Then add fresh water back in but you can put 1 or 2 teaspoons per gallon of hydrogen peroxide in, and leave it in.

Yep. They are not suffering from nute burn so you should still add them. How are the temps now and do you still have the pump in?

okay so the res was right at 75 with the pump on....i went ahead and added some peroxide slowly at first then let it sit for 10 mins then drained it completely and then went ahead and premixed the nutes ph and 3 tablespoons(9 teaspoons) of peroxide into the new water being that its 6 gallons and then put the plants back in and everything back together. that is correct right? and i wanted to go alil light on the peroxide thats why i only did 3 tablespoons instead of 4. do i need to add another tablespoon or just leave it with 3 in it?

Yeah 3 tablespoons will be enough. 75 degrees is a good temp as long as it doesn't go any higher. Do you have a pic for us?

just leave the 3 drops and see what happens in a couple of days, only that one looks real bad but it should pick back up with fresh water and nutes like LT said its not root burn.

Those roots look worse than I thought. Are You sure the res is 100% lightproof? You should cover it with reflective tape or paint it black, then white.
