Just remember to wait for alternating leaves if you have the time. That is the sign of a mature plant. You can do it when you see it or wait until you are ready.

Normally when the plant is young the leaves form right across from one another. All of a sudden they start taking turns. One leaf on one side and then a inch or two up another one on the other side. It's cocked and loaded at that point!

ight man thx for the info i dont even think i knew that when i did my last grow i just waited till they were semi big and started so ill remember that this time. these things are seriously growing an inch a day if not more..most of the roots have already hit the water. and no joke i will goto work for like 9 hours and come home and b able 2 see a noticable difference EVERYDAY. i swear i can take a 2 hour nap and see a difference....one question...i noticed on my fox farm grow big nutes that i can make a foiler feed mix and spray them.. is this a good idea? or does it leave residue or other problems if i do so...what do yall think?

okay so were almost at the end of bweek 3...doing a drain and replenish tomm. or tuesday depending on how much time i have...but they are looking awesome...it is kinda wierd tho....my one setup is SIGNIFICATLY bigger than the other one....i guess based on how well were controlling the ph and nutes and whatnot...im trying to do everything the same for both setups but o well...tell me what yall think and also im still wondering if its a good idea to folier feed with fox farm grow big that i use....it says on the bottle that i can do that...but i wanna make sure its good to do on weed plants b4 i try it..by the way the pics of the roots are pics from the last drain and replenish taken last tuesday....but the pics of the plants are from tonight...the roots have doubled since then. ill take pics of them tomm or tuesday

Very nice. We are pretty much at the exact same point. Mine are growing so fast now and drinking a lot of water. Keep up the good work.

I foliage spray daily and I daily mist with plainw ater too, it is good for them, IN VEG, BUT NOT IN FLOWERING.

Let me tell you that VEGGING for 5 weeks is a bitch, much more work, more Draining and Replinishing, they eat more and that messes the pH up and down alot too. It is more difficult to hold the lid open with the extra weight adn fi yu bend them over, they want to come up out of the lid.

I VEG 5 weeks and few days, but and it is worth it with extra yield, but it is also a lot more work.

I completed 5 weeks yesterday, and I will start 12/12 very soon, like tommorow maybe.

I had a friend who lost his crop to Bud Mold, he sprayed those buds everyday, and I am just afraid of it, so I do not mist them in Flowering.

okay sounds good thx rose and also i heard about using seltzer water or soda water for CO2 does that sound like a good thing to do as well...and if so only during veg as well? and today i picked up some actual good PH down and UP also now using Grow Big and Big Bloom fox farm nutes..just finished week 4. They are doing awesome just did a drain and replenish of both systems. and while we were at it we went ahead and cleaned the FUCK outa the closet and moved the rest of the mylar in there. looks alot better now and is deff getting alot more light check out the pics. and by the way we took the pump and feeder tubes outa the system on the left cus all the roots have hit the water but there is still one plant in the system on the right that the roots havent hit the water so were just waiting on that one plant and then well b taking the feeders outa that setup too.

so today we got fox farm big bloom...and so far weve been basically taking tap water....throwing 3 tablespoons of grow big(15 teaspons) for the past 2 weeks... and then after we added those...phing them alittle lower to make it 6.0.and weve done fine with the exception of the one time we got nute burn and followed rosemans and everyone directions to save them and it worked perfect. so today....i decided since we got big bloom id follow the hydro feeding schedule on the fox farm site...which at week 4. calls for 3 teaspoons per gallon of grow big and 1 teaspoon per gallon of big bloom...so we followed that and went alittle light just to make sure....did 15 teaspoons(3 tablespoons) of grow big and 6 teaspoons(2 tablespoons) of big bloom within hours we noticed nute burn...so we just changed out the water again doing half of the recommended serving....im wondering if the fox farm schedule is based on a schedule made for actual vegatables and not weed....is there a fox farm weed feeding schedule that makes more sense...cus i want to give them the max they can handle without fucking them up. basically giving them the most they can handle without giving them nute burn..so we can have a GREAT yield....wat do yall think?

and iv been having some ph problems....it never goes down...it always goes up....and at a rapid rate so i decided to try the baking soda thing and of course once i added it....the water freaked out...and now the ph down is harder to use cus the baking soda keeps it soooo steady....but i think im good now both res's are at 6.6 id like to b alittle lower but it was at 7.0 when we woke up today so im gonna wait till i get home tonight to add more ph down. do yall think the baking soda thing is a good idea or better off using something else?

also still wondeing about my question above....and about the seltzer water...for co2

I'm pretty sure that the recommended dose on your nutrients is what's ideal for cannabis, the nute burn could be caused by pH that is too high or low, and lock out nutrients in toxic compounds. I've heard that baking soda works well to keep the pH stable but have never used it myself. Are you using tap water or filtered water? Filtered water is incredibly unstable when it come to pH, that's why I'm using regular city water. Seltzer water will produce some CO2, and you could also use vinegar and baking soda, yeast and sugar water, or other things. Look around, I think there's a thread about supplementing CO2. Also, I am going to switch to flower this Friday. You have to remember that they will grow to about twice the size during flowering. Looking great!

im using regular city water...that we let sit out for awhie...then add our nutes which actually lowers the ph for us newayz and then throw a couple of drops of ph down to get it exactly where we want it...then throwin it in the tank...weve been spraying seltzer water on them for the past couple days and seems 2 b going well. ya iv heard of vineger and baking soda and yeast and suger but havent tried them yet do u think i should give it a shot on those? and ya i know bout the doubling in size but i figure the longer we wait the more yield well end up with...and im not seeing alternating nodes yet so i was gonna wait till i see that happening then wait a couple days and then switch to flowering...cus according to crazy tthat is the sign of a mature plant when when u see alternating nodes are u seeing any alternating nodes on urs yet?

and also about the recommended nutes....i think ur right me and my roommate/friend/growing buddy got ina arguement about whether we put 2 many nutes in the water so we changed out the one res and then waited till today and we were gonna change the other res if the plants looked worse and they actually look fine so we didnt change out the second res i think ur right it was prob cus the ph of the res before we did the drain and replenish was alil to high and then we did a drain and replenish and the ph was set to where it was supposed 2 b which prob threw them into a little bit of a shock and thats why today they look great and arent seeing any signs of continuing problems. so ill check tonight when i get hone from work and see how they r doing. thx for the info. anyone else have any opinions?

No I am not seeing alternating nodes yet but I have heard to wait to see that to be sure the plant is mature but I'm trying to get my bud done before Christmas. I have seen a couple preflowers though and I'm so excited. I hope all mine turn out to be female and yours too lol. I honestly don't know too much about supplementing CO2 because I haven't used anything yet this grow. Does it seem to make a difference at all?
