My First Bubbleponic grow

I see two thigs that concern me. It looks like you have the feeder tubes right at the top of the rock wool and flowing quickly. The rockwool would be less wet if you repositioned those about half way down on the rockwool and adjusted the stream to more of a trickle. The other thing is the wicker laundry basket. It might be ok now but when the plants and roots grow it may be too much weight for the wicker and that could cause some damage and be a real mess. Otherwise an excellent start.

Every morning at 7:15, I wake up and raise my lights half inch higher, sometimes an inch. That takes me 3 or 4 minutes.
When I come home in the evening, about 6:30, I raise my lights a inch or half inch again and check the pH. I'm in my third week and they already drink one gallon per day, per tank. Every day the pH is 6.9 to 7.2 on all three reservoirs, and every day, I knock it down to 6.5 and come back at bed time and take it from 6.5 to 5.9. I do it gradually. Next day, same routine, same maintenance.
IF the plants are eating and drinking, they are going to change in pH and you have to adjust it gradually. That is just the way it is.
You are doing a great job, and they look fine to me.
The basket looks a little shakey and I wish you had some reflective material or light reflectors. But your grow looks great to me.

Thx man ya i know the wicker basket is just for the time being until we move the whole grow out to this shed out back thats connected to the house...thats where the rest of the mylar is....we plan on keeping it in this closet for like another week or 2. cus its still to hot outside to keep them in the shed...so there will be plenty more mylar when we move it and no basket. but its completely stable its a THICK basket and its really strong. these little spots poped up on them in the past 2 days what do u think it is?

fox farm grow big...using like 10 teaspoons for 6 gallons says to use 2 teaspoons per gallon so i went alil light on it...and then used 1 teaspoon of liquid karma...u dont think its a ph problem?

No PH problems cause strips and not spots. I'd back off on the LK for now. I use it too but wait till flower because as you know it's like motor oil and can gums things up. It also might have too much power for your stage of growing. Also are you using cfl's or HID's.

both...got 1 400 watt mh and is a enclosure for mh/hps in one...so thatll be helpful l8er...but im using 2 cfls 2700k 42w for side lighting and mixing spectrum.

No that will be great. No venting problems, right? Also the reason I asked the question is that plants under HID's can take more nutes because the have more power to process them.

so im kinda gettin worried yall they seem worse today when it comes to the yellowing and spotting and whatnot check out these pics....im confused on what the problem is do yall think i should redo the water with less nutes....cus its deff not burn spots from the lights cus they are deff far enuf away...but these spots r worrying me.

Ok it's definately nute burn. Here's what I would do. First, remove any of the bottom leave that are DEFINITELY dead or going to die. If they look like they will survive, just leave them alone. Secondly, do you have a meter to test the PPM? If not, then you do not have to change the res completely. Remove some of the solution, like 1/3, so if you have six gallons remove 2 and top it off with plain pH-ed water. This will bring down the PPM and hopefully help your plants recover. Change to water only for a few days and then add nutes only with no LK, move the feeder tubes to mid rockwool (too much water getting the the root base from on top and that inhibits them being forced to look for water in the res) and put some covers over the net pots. Damage is isolated to the lower leaves and they will yellow up and die soon enough. It's not a big problem. You're just an overly attentive parent.

On plain water for 4 or 5 days, that yellow wil go away. You over fed them, reduce the nutes after the 4 or 5 days of plain water and no nutes.

thx for all the info guys i went ahead and changed out alil over half the water with plain phed water that was alil low to also lower the ph a bit in the rez well see how they do now ill post more pics tonight or tomm.

ok so heres some new pics they are doing great thx for all the info about nute burn guys that was deff the problem we took 3 gallons out and put 3 gallons of plain ph'ed water in there and now they are fine....some of the roots are already almost/are hitting the water. they r growing soooooo fucking fast hahaha. this system is great. checkm out
