The clones got set on the floor for now.
When I cut them, they were not intended to be cloned.. so If I get some stretch from being so far from the light it won't be so bad.
They are all standing up and showing progress tho. The two in the single pot look crazy, and burnt.. but the force it with them lol
The cups are only 2 days ahead in soil.

To prep the clones:
I used 4x root riot cubes, clonex gel, a seedling tray and humidity dome. (Small puddle of water in the bottom of the Dome's drip tray)
After leaving the cuttings in a cup of water over night...
I snipped the ends at an angle and dipped them in some clonex. I poked holes in the bottom of some root riot cubes and stuck the stems thru to keep the cubes in the seedling tray, but to also keep them from coming in contact with the puddle inside the drip tray.

Just curious why you soak the cuts in plain water overnight first? Is there something scientific going on?

I use a butter knife to make a score through it

and a tote top makes a good plastic sheath, makes it simple to divide large totes of soil

cutting it is a bitch

lol battle Royale.
if there is enough nutrients they will grow fine, one might be stunted smaller then the other, which is to be expected without some form of barrier to prevent the alpha plant from taking over
Exactly lol I know the roots will fight over food, and one will prevail over the other... I wanna see it play out in front of me tho.
All for the love of learning. If I can keep them both happy evenly.. it will give me something to feel good about. However I'm not expecting anything extravagant to happen.

The roots will compete with each other for space. So you'll probably end up with 2 smaller plants than 1 big one, even if they grow at the same pace. So 2 kinda happy plants, or 1 really happy plant.

I've done it with tomato plants.
