Yeah, if you want the x-lenses they can def do it for you? (even on the ones that looks like the advanced case)
I think the original configuration they have on the 126 Xlenses is the same as penetrators?
It would be great if anyone could go forward and experiment with them!
I would personally ask for the 660nm to be 60 lenses and all the rest 90 lenses! I mean mix them up... it seems to work well for blackstar?

Has anyone heard about the Chlora Ba system by bsled.com...they are the factory....very expensice $1500 /ea...i think i would need 2 for a 3 x 5 4 setup...but they claim to be veg through flower and no heat build up....like my 2 apollo 10's. bt cidly....work great...too hot!!!....even w/ power venting it will go in the 90's...had to air condition the frikin tent!!.....apologies to the Moderator....i posted and my message disapeared...hence the re-post...i'll figure it out !!!

Cree has announced the new XLamp XP-L LED family in a 3.45×3.45-mm package promising that what the company calls a member of its high-density grouping of LEDs will provide a drop-in upgrade for lighting products that use the prior XP-G/G2 LEDs. The new LEDs reach efficacy levels as high as 200 lm/W in cool white, at a modest 350 mA of drive current, while solid-state lighting (SSL) product designs can drive the LEDs at levels to 3A. Indeed, the maximum 10W LEDs are based on a discrete die and now far exceed what would conventionally be considered a high-power LED.


In recent announcements, Cree has stressed a metric called optical control factor (OCF) that characterizes lumen output relative to light-emitting surface (LES) area. The company introduced the OCF concept with the high-density chip-on-board (COB) LEDs announced in February. Subsequently, Cree subsequently touted OCF in the discrete XB-H LED that measures 2.5 mm per side. Those announcements along with the XP-L release are all part of what Cree calls it high-density offering -- LEDs that are especially applicable for directional lighting because it's easier in an SSL product to control the beam from a smaller source.

Cree compared the XP-L LEDs to existing XP-G2 LEDs in a prototypical 30-mm reflector lamp design that in all instances includes four LEDs connected in series. More LEDs in this case driven at a relatively lower current creates the best balance of lumen output and efficacy.


An SSL manufacturer can upgrade a design to the new LED and realize significant gains in light output and efficacy. The XP-G2 example delivers 912 lm at 75 lm/W when drive at 1A. The XP-L version delivers a 30% improvement in lumen output at 1188 lm, and slightly better than a 30% efficacy gain at 98 lm/W. Moreover, the new LEDs deliver a 31% improvement in center beam candle power (CBCP).


"We’re excited about the new XLamp XP-L LED because its next-level performance enables us to create the next generation of light output and efficacy for our directional lighting products," said Mike Joye, president, Auroralight. "Since XP-L uses the existing XP footprint, we can expand our product lineup quickly and without the burden of increased development time and cost that would be expected for such a significant performance enhancement."

Alternatively, a manufacturer could upgrade to the new LEDs, reduce drive current, and realize even greater efficacy while matching the lumen output of an earlier product. Indeed, Cree's comparison revealed that the XP-L LEDs driven at 700 mA can deliver 924 lm output at 111 lm/W.

Of course, the LEDs also offer the option of ramping driver current to push lumen output at lower efficacy levels. "We evaluated many high-power LEDs before deciding on Cree’s new high-density discrete LEDs," said Jason Gerard, group general manager for engineering at Gerard Lighting Group. "Cree’s high-density LEDs enable us to develop a core design that was not possible with previous LEDs for our given design targets. We’re excited that we can use the newest of Cree’s innovations to make our products stand apart from everyone else’s."

Cree will offer the XP-L LED family over the range of 2700K-8300K CCT. At the warmer end manufacturers can specify 90 CRI and at the cooler end a 70 CRI options is available. Most of the family is available at 80 CRI.

The XP-L is also considered a follow-on product to the XP-G2 in the eyes of the Energy Star program. That recognition means that SSL manufacturers can submit products based on the new LED for Energy Star certification after only 3000 hours of LM-80 testing.

LEDs companies battle about patents all day long, and Nichia and Everlight have been duking it out since 2006, but this one might have some repercussions that reach us. It's been going on for a while and still isn't over, (Nichia is appealing this one and there are a bunch more still going on), but it seems Everlight (Taiwan) has nullified a specific Nichia white LED patent in Japan and this one will really open the door for them, and several other companies, to make whites based on the tech Nichia has been holding onto and using as a major advantage in the Japanese market. Or maybe they'll just hold a gun to Nichia's white division and use it as a cash cow? The big things are this happened in Japan, (Nichia's territory), which is a big blow for Nichia's arguments and this tech is a major reason Nichia's phosphor based whites put out sooo much light and could put that tech in our hands much easier and cheaply than trying to get your hands on a Nichia COB.

AT600 at Apollo prices? I doubt it, but a muthafucka can dream, can't he :)?


Everlight wins Japan patent ruling

Everlight Electronics Co (億光電子) on Monday said it had received a favorable ruling from the Japan Patent Office in another one of its long-running patent disputes with Nichia Corp. The nation’s top LED chip packager said it filed a complaint with the Japan Patent Office on Sept. 5, 2011, against a patent owned by Nichia — Japanese Patent No. 4,530,094 (JP’094), which is related to phosphor concentration in white-light LEDs.

On May 1, the office declared all of Nichia’s claims to the patent invalid after more than two years of trial, Everlight said in a statement. Everlight, based in New Taipei City’s Shulin District (樹林), said the ruling was “a prevailing decision” that would help strengthen its foothold in the Japanese LED market. “JP’094 is Nichia’s white-light LED patent. This decision will be significantly beneficial to Everlight’s endeavor to enter the Japanese LED market,” the company said.

However, Nichia’s Taiwan-based attorney, Chien Hsiu-ru (簡秀如), said the Japanese firm plans to appeal the ruling to Japan’s Intellectual Property High Court. “Nichia believes its claims will be recognized by the Intellectual Property High Court,” Chien said in a statement. “Nichia believes there is a strong possibility that the high court will accept its claims and consider its patent valid,” Chien added.

Since 2006, Everlight and Nichia have sued each other over patent infringement issues in 28 cases in Taiwan, Japan, the US, Germany and China. Nichia has had its patent claims upheld in 19 cases, while Everlight won a lawsuit in Taiwan in 2011. Trials are still under way in eight lawsuits, including the case the Japan Patent Office just ruled on. Chien said Nichia had been involved in a total of seven patent litigations against Taiwanese companies, including Everlight, at Japan’s Intellectual Property High Court in the course of its 58-year history. The company had received six favorable rulings from the high court, she added.

As the cliche suggests sometimes it's a double edge sword scenario. According to eshine they actually invented the Diamond Series Lenses

"E.shine Systems is the original manufacturer of Diamond Series LED Grow Light, as well as the only seller in 2010, Eshine Systems developed 3G LED Grow Light in June, 2010 and Advancedledlights bought 3G LED grow lights from Eshine Systems when E.shine released the first bulk of 3G series. After tests, advancedledlights signed the agreement as E.shine’s sole agent of US market. E.shine has all their purchasing and shipments’ records if someone wants them for proofs."

Thanks for info, I have been looking for a led light some time now and have contacted eshine regarding proof of purchase and shipment records, after all they said "if someone wants them for proofs" right?

Nope, did not get them no matter what I do or say which make me question them and their honestly all together but then again have I misunderstood this somehow? My English is not the best so give them the benefit of a doubt in case I did understand this info wrong somehow?

I want the question regarding eshine vs advanced solved once and for all, no talk only real proper information and by that I mean for example measurements over time, grow logs, results but also someone who open up a proper advanced panel and show the interior as well as same treatment for a eshine panel, nothing less then that.

I don´t think eshine manufactures advanced light and have not done so in a long time but question still remain, did they have some cooperation at one point in time or is the story made up all together?
I also think advanced led go way overboard when bashing, refusing to acknowledge any cooperation at any point with eshine, I mean look at the web page for example so much capital letters, underlining etc look like a 12 year old really wanna make a point here if you know what I mean but on the other hand I would be pissed as well if a company started lying about my products claiming stuff out of the air so?
Who is right and who is wrong, are they both partially right/wrong or whats really going on here, I would like to know and have it sorted out.

Don´t have a lot on money really but should I ever buy one of the eshine panels I would do so knowing warranty might never be upheld or possibly too expensive shipping it back and forward so with that being said should I buy one I might open that up and produce all pics needed unless someone beat me to it or already did beat me to it and I missed that somehow?

not cheap, he swears he uses real cree and meanwell drivers, thus a 500 watt was close to 1200 with freight costs in the mix
This sounds like something a scalper says when he is selling you tickets to the superbowl outside....
