Make sure she stays in a dark place. How long you going to cure for. I worked in a cheese house for four years as a mill Wright I live the smell of fresh cream every day at work.
Nice!! This was my first time getting the process started. Was mainly just after the LABs, but seeing the outcome I may look into it further of actually making some cheese next time haha!!

Day 38/31

We're at 12 days since transplant into the SIPs and it seems like everybody has settled in and getting acclimated to their homes. Gorilla Zkittlez is either super sensitive to nitrogen or this is some genetic trait for her bright green tops and dark green older growth. Even in straight Happy Frog she's always had that pattern of growth. Even the big wide canoed tops. Those leaves always widen up, lay flat and get dark. Either way she's still ahead of the pack and has just started dipping her roots into the reservoir. Hoping the others can catch up before she takes the full plunge. Cover crop has exploded in past few days.

Apple Blossom has had one persistent issue and it's been a neon green burnt tip and clawed right atvthe color separation. Going to monitor her. She's got some long fat leaves too.

Francos Lemon Cheese hasn't skipped a beat since being transplanted. Slow and steady start for her and she's gaining momentum now. Working on her 4 mains quickly should be ready to top for her 3rd time in the coming days. Then it's scissors down for her and get her up to the tomato ring.

So far everybody is mostly healthy and starting to pick up pace each day that passes. Pretty soon it's gonna be a jungle in here. Organized chaos.

20220826_203912.jpg

Close up of Gorilla Zkittlez new growth. Not sure to be worried or impressed by possible trichs?? While still in veg? Thoughts anyone?

Day 43/36

Past 5 days have been pretty eventful....eventful as in everything going to shit all at once haha. Bottom half of wicks washed out causing the last gallon of water in the rez just sitting stagnant and not being drank by the ladies. Water became real foul smelling so I dumped, washed and rinsed the reservoirs. Repacked the wicks so they'll actually function properly :wall: started getting some funky leaves on both Gorilla Zkittlez and Apple Blossom. Ended up raising lights and giving some epsom foliar feeds and seems to have stopped whatever was progressing. Cover crop was growing higher than the plants so chopped a lot of that down. Everybody has been topped for the third time and all have their 8 mains growing now. Stems bulked up super fast and ended up halfway snapping one on each of the francos and Apple. Bent them back in place and secured them. Fused back together in just a couple days. Whew...that was a lot lol. Just gonna let them veg now and train some of the mains outwards. Tomato rings will go up hegoonce they get a little taller and hoping to flipto flower in a couple weeks!!

Well that's it for now, so here's some pics of everything.

Day 45/38

Everybody seems to be bouncing back pretty well past couple of days. Decided to go ahead and get the mains spread out and open up the canopy some. Got all 3 at just about the same height to keep everything uniform. The way that Gorilla Zkittlez was twisted about actually work out when I realized I could get her manifold running the depth of the box while the two end girls manifold ran lengthwise. May help in flower when it starts to get crowded. I used some moderate defoliation in my Mini Fridge to help with air flow. Will probably do the same in here as I got a feeling things are going to get tight in here quick haha.
20220902_211239.jpg20220902_211633.jpg

Everyone tied down and laid out.

Gonna try and get 6 mains spread around a tomato ring and 2 sturdier main hanging out in the center.

Hopefully quick turn around and I can tackle that next week sometime.

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!

Cheers!!

Day 51/44

6 days later and everybody is looking a lot happier than last week. Chopped down the tomato rings and got them sitting about 10 inches off the soil. Gonna try and get them to about 4 inches above the rings and then switch to flower. Which by the rate of growth over the last week shouldn't be too far off. Not much has changed, the cabinet is kinda on autopilot now.

Here's some pics to enjoy

So will you get them above the rings and then tie them back down to them?

Yea I'll spread the 8 mains around the rings to keep everything spread out. Sadly, I lost 2 mains on the Lemon Cheese when I was trying to bend her down last week. So I've only got 6 running on that one now.

Anything new going on with this grow jw
Nothing new since my last update last night really. About a week or 2 shy of 2 months of Veg to get my mainline manifolds going. Waiting for them to stack some nodes so I can organize them around the tomato rings I have above them now. Planning to flip to flower in about 2 weeks!

Day 53/46

not much change in past couple days. Tucked some big fans. Gonna hold off on defoliating anymore until right before flower. Tops liked being able to get some light.

Day 55/48

Got bored and decided to clean up underneath the tomato rings. I had about an ounce of tiny buds/larf on my last grow of the one plant mini scrog. Tried to let too many suckers down low trying to produce something worthwhile. So the bottoms got a trim today.

Things are still running quite smooth between the three.

Cheers!!

Day 61/54

Ladies are still in veg. They've all reached the tomato rings. Probably wait one more week to flip to flower. Cleaned up the tops of the soil and topdressed for their prebloom feeding. Gorilla Zkittlez in the middle I think had a combination of wind burn and light too intense. She tacoed up and I realized I had both fans point right at her and light was around 75%. Moved fans and turned lights back down to a little over 50% and she started to relax again.

Day 63/56

Girls are pushing a couple more days before their topdress for the stretch once before I flip the switch this weekend. The growth in the past 2 days has been crazy. Everybody is above the tomato rings and Gorila Zkittlez is recovering from when I may have burned them a few days ago? I will say that the vigorous growth in the SIPs has led to me defoliating in veg a lot more than I'm used to just to manage the plants in a confined space. Between the mainlining process and cleaning up under the tomato rings I've pulled well over a hundred leaves. They all bounce back and fill everything in quickly.

As you can see Gorilla Zkittlez suffered the brunt of the damage. With the lights running lengthwise across the width of the box, it created an overlap between the two. On the photon app it was reading higher overtop of Gorilla Zkittlez than the two end ladies. Couple that with both of the fans being left blowing straight at her. Both Gorilla Zkittlez and Apple Blossom have what appears to be some light bleaching maybe?

Gorilla Zkittlez has been sensitive to everything right from the early veg stage.

If anybody sees anything else let me know.

Lights have since been raised to the highest point in the cabinet that I can hang them until I make some brackets to hard mount them. Running about 55%on both and have been repositioned running length wise of the depth of the cabinet. So now both dimmer knobs face me. This gets me about 36 inches from the tops currently.

Temps have been pretty steady 77-79 running humidstat on the humidifier at 65%. The cab stays about 66-68 with lights on.

I did have to change and clean the reservoirs again as all three of them had a foul smell to them. I'm beginning to wonder if my homemade LABs went bad and caused the issues in the reservoir? Have since refilled them and have not done LABs this watering.

20220920_203926.jpg

Francos Lemon Cheese is doing great with just her 6 mains running now.

I think that's it for now lol. Please feel free to comment your opinions on anything!

Cheers!

Next time you remove the straw you could add some more soil,IIRC these are only 5g right? You could probably get another 3g of soil on top. They'll want the extra root space.
Looks good.
Yea, they are in 5 gallons and I've got about 20 gallons of soil still left over from when I mixed it up. Planning on topdressing again this weekend before the stretch so I'll add some more soil to the top!
