Day 28/21

Ending Week 4 for Gorilla Zkittlez and Week 3 for Francos Lemon Cheese and Apple Blossom.

I'm gonna update the two youngins real quick as it's a simple as they were slow to start (already a week behind from a Germination blunder), however they are doing great and are really feeling at home in the SIPs. They're root balls were still somewhat loose but starting to wrap the 1 gallon. Plopped them in the holes and 2 days later they are taking off.

GZ, on the other hand....

:wall: this is the most difficult female ive ever had to deal with, ever lol. Shes got vigorous growth, but damn is she picky!! All through her growth, shes been susceptible to the most minor changes in environment. Right now we've comprised on a lot of things (light distance, light intensity, heat, air flow..you name it lol) by mainly focusing on humidity. Finally got everything in order and as long as my humidty is up in the 70s she really starts standing back up. I know she looked her worst going thru transplant, but her tacoing and new growth droop have kinda always been there, no matter what I've tried. It's all flattens out and has has a blueish green as it matures. She is thick too. I've got branching at the main nodes with 3 pushing 4 nodes themselves underneath the big fan leaves. She is just thick. I think she's finally settling into her SIP and plan on chopping all this growth down by a lot to start my Nugbuckets Mainlining. So fingers crossed we see even more improvement by pruning time!!

Day 31/24

You ever seen a little kid get ahold of some scissors and just go to town on their own hair lol??

Topped all the girls down to the 4th node. Also stripped everything off below the 4th node. Gorilla Zkittlez is way ahead so I was able to bend her down already.

Gorilla Zkittlez even showing her lady parts already!!

20220818_235041.jpg

Took some cuttings of her and trying my hand at storing them in my fridge to possibly run once these are done flowering. Some of GZ top cuttings already had some alternating nodes as well.

First time trying mainlining so we'll see how they go!!

Cheers!

Everybody responded nicely to all the scissor work last night. GZ is a little lanky starting out her main hub so I'm wrapping the tops closer back to the center so she doesn't eventually crowd the two end totes.

Bent down and spreading them out.

Day 33/26

Chugging along smoothly. Working on getting Gorilla Zkittlez back to somewhat center instead of hanging off the edge. Shes been topped for the second time.

Everybody else is busy working on getting their next topping site grown out.

Finishing up my LABs tonight. Will be adding to reservoir once separated and strained.

So, what is LAB serum?
LACTOBACILLUS Serum is the good bacteria added to my reservoir to eat the bad bacteria and keep the non aerated water in check.
It's supposed to help accelerate the decomposition of organic ammendments in the soil and make nutrients available to the plants quicker.
With good fungus up top in the soil and good bacteria down in the water, it helps keep the whole soil food web regulated.

Do you shut down the grow lights and use the regular led bulb in the closet for when you are working on your ladies? Space, plants and setup all look great!
Thank you!! And not really I just put it in there when I was originally building everything out so I could have some light to work with. Plus I didn't have my grow lights yet. I guess I could always swap it for a green bulb if the need ever came up where I had to work on them during lights out.

Almost have Gorilla Zkittlez wrapped 180 to where her tops originally started. Cover Crop has also completely covered soil and is pushing thru all the straw now.

Just need Lemon Cheese to kick off and we'll be rolling.

Cheers!

Day 35/28

Ending Week 5 and 4 for Gorilla Zkittlez (5th wk/middle) and Francos Lemon Cheese (4th wk/left) and Apple Blossom (4th wk/right)

Everybody has been topped for a 2nd time and bent out a little further. With 4 mains on each now and about an even canopy I'll go ahead and let them rest and stack a couple new nodes before topping for a 3rd time. Once I have my 8 mains I'll let them veg out until that hit my tomato ring. Gonna chop the ring down to about 14 inches off top of soil. Once everybody hits the ring I'll plan on flipping to flower very soon after.

Tonight's marks 5 days from starting topping and training.

Thursday night
20220819_000227.jpg
Tonight. Tops have now reached their opposite end from where they started. Shes getting some big fat knuckles at her main hub so hopefully she'll be more stout thru the end.

Cover Crop blew up past couples days

Water in the left reservoir is a light green in my level tube. Need to lift the tote and check the water. Lifted the middle tote and almost have roots jumping the air gap into the water. Have roots coming out of both wicks on this one as well. Soil has stayed perfectly saturated all the way to just under the straw mulch. Right now plants are drinking around 1/4gallon per day.

Cheers!!

For anybody interested I've been messing around with a timelapse using an old home security cam mounted in the grow box. Just a trial run for now. Considering getting better quality camera(s) and making some legit timelapses of future grows.

3 SIP TIMELAPSE

Check it out if you'd like!

Cheers!!
