As soon as they can define "woke" they can square the circle of "liberal" and liberal causes. I can define conservative "causes" and MAGA causes rather concisely I might add, and they are close to another term I can define, fascism.
I think woke and liberal are synonymous at this point.

Btw I got around to watching the Hartmann segment, and I think he has a capital idea. The diff is that I don’t think for a moment that affording representation is one of the Thomases’ issues.

Yeah, but this time they have something they never had before, evidence, with both of them with their hands caught in the cookie jar.

A little factual history from a liberal leaning (anybody with a fucking heart and brain) source helps with context and possibilities though.

Ole bacon face sounds contemporary!

Joyce Vance talks Clarence Thomas ProPublica report and Evan Corcoran recusal

17,274 views Apr 15, 2023 #JoyceVance #ClarenceThomas #MSNBC
Joyce Vance breaks down the legalities involved in judicial disclosures and recusals for Justice Clarence Thomas and Evan Corcoran. She points out discrepancies in Thomas' disclosures and calls Corcoran's recusal "overdue." "There's a lot of reason to believe that when these sorts of deals aren't disclosed in the middle of other disclosures, that there's something that the person who fills the forms out is trying to hide," Vance shares.

Republicans say Durbin is trying to pressure Roberts to respond to reports by ProPublica that conservative Justice Clarence Thomas failed to properly disclose the gifts he received from a Texas billionaire, including private jet travel and the sale of a property in which Thomas owned a third interest.

They point out that it’s extremely rare to call on a sitting chief justice to testify before Congress and that when it happens, it’s usually before the Senate or House Appropriations Committees to discuss the court’s annual budgetary needs.

It's also extremely rare for a sitting justice to do ANY of the shady shit that thomas has been doing his whole tenure on the bench...
Of course the republicans don't want anyone asking questions to their fucking scrotus dream team, they may figure out that 5 of them have no fucking business on the bench...any bench...

I suppose they could ask the DOJ to investigate and indict Thomas, it does appear he committed crimes, and he is not the only ethical breech on the court, there are concerns about others too. If the democrats win by enough in 24, there could be impeachment inquires and others concerning Thomas and others on the court, they can be hauled before the house judiciary committee for questioning too, they have grounds to do this. In fact, the whole anti-abortion crowd around Thomas should be put under oath, the rich doners. Winning in 24 could mean a lot of things, including this.

Maybe he should ask Clarence to come along to answer the tough questions and if he doesn't, he can tell them he made such an invitation to justice Thomas and he refused. Why should he carry Thomas's water, he has no authority over him, Chief Justice is just a title. He should tell them to address any questions about Thomas to Thomas, in short throw the fucker under the bus, but ask him to retire first.

Lawrence: Clarence Thomas should follow Abe Fortas’ example and resign from the Supreme Court

197,002 views Apr 21, 2023 #msnbc #supremecourt #clarencethomas
MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell provides insight into the resignation of Supreme Court Justice Abe Fortas, who resigned from the bench in May 1969 for reasons not nearly as legally incriminating as Clarence Thomas' failure to disclose a $133,363 real estate sale with GOP billionaire mega donor Harlan Crow.

Clarence Thomas believes that wealth gives a man moral authority. He believes wealthy people are better than the common man and therefore should have more power and influence. Like other fascists in power in the US today, he believes that what is under the law considered a corrupt act does not apply to them. .

This NPR audio episode lays out the threat to our society that a class of extremely wealthy people pose to a democracy. Clarence Thomas and the cabal of other extreme right wing justices on the SCOTUS is an outcome of having such extremely wealthy people in our society.

Time to play hardball and show him the same quality of justice and mercy he shows to others. This alone should have him hauled before congress for a "fitness examination", you say there is no such thing, yer right I just made it up and so can congress.

You can't get rid of public criminals like Trump and this clown, who should have white hot heat on him now, but he knows Kevin's house too. Add it to the long list of GOP crimes against America.

well, no they can't...and even if they did, they have no authority to enforce a supreme court justices behavior. If he broke laws, it has to be proven in court, and even that would not actually vacate their position on the bench, they would still have to be impeached, even in a prison cell.
