Is it possible to grow?

I don't have much of a light source besides the sun and CFL light bulbs, and i understand during the summer the sun emits more of a blue spectrum which enhance growing. I just bought a GDP x Blueberry clone and i was wondering if its even possible for me to flower it. Would CFL lights work maybe? Sorry if its a newbie question i am just learning and i wanna know my options.

I understand in veg mode the plant can have 24 hr of sun light and it is basically the same as doing 18/6.
So right now i have a 2700k CFL bulb on it during night, and then i take it out to the sun for 8 hours, and bring it back in.

Do i need a 6500k CFL bulb for me to keep it in veg mode properly until i can flower it? Or can i just flower it right from the get go? By that i mean can i just keep it inside with a 2700k CFl for 12/12? What i mean is, because the sun emits different spectrums of light depending on the season i am wondering do i need a 6500k CFL bulb if i am vegging at 24/0 and then flowering at 12/12 with a 2700k bulb??? My clone is brand new and i am basically wondering if i can just use the 2700k bulb i have, or if i have to purchase a 6500k bulb?

Short answer is Yes, you could use a combination of lights to grow a plant. You'll have to follow time schedules. I don't advise flowering from the get-go. Everyone's gonna want to know the wattage of your CFLs, I don't imagine you could do well with under 100w of cfl lighting. GL

If its warm enough outside leave it out until the sun is down in the sky for vegetation. The sunlight is better than any artificial light you can put it under and it should veg very fast. A plant only needs a few hours of direct sunlight a day to get its needs and indirect sunlight for the rest of its daily cycle. I believe the CFL will stretch a little bit, but the sun hasn't gone past the 12/12 cycle so I don't think you have much of a choice with that. When the plant is tall enough and you want to flower it just leave it in the sun for 12 hours and then bring in an input it in total darkness and it will start flower. Moving your plant around as it gets into flowering can be difficult though.

If you feel comfortable having it outside at all, why not just grow it outside?
Because i know the sun emits different kind of rays during summer and fall, the main growing seasons for cannabis. During the summer, veg mode, the sun emits rays that might be around the same as a 6500k CFL bulb. During fall, flowering time, the sun emits rays that are around 2700k which is the bulb i have on it right now. I don't know how i would control the flowering times if i grew it outside. Right now we get about 8 hours of sunlight and in veg mode a plant can do well with up to 24 hrs of light a day !

You would actually want to plant cannabis in early spring(as well as most other flowering plants). Which is right around the corner. If you grow it outside, come fall you'd have pounds off that one plant. If it's possible to grow outside do it. Nothing beats the sun.

up to 24 hours of light a day? Can a plant get more? lol

Im honestly doing this just for experimentation. I bought the clone from HarborSide for $14 bucks to see if i could even grow it. We'll see how she does outside. I'm going to be purchasing several more clones and growing 2 more from feminized seed. I have built a little bed for the plant outside already so i won't be using a pot.

I think the spectrum of the light is going to be far less important than the hours. The way I see it, it's like vegging under a HPS lamp instead of MH. Halide emits the "desirable" light spectrum, but the HPS will do the job if it has to!

They both emit "desirable" the desirable light spectrum. MH emits a wavelength that stimulates better/faster vegetative growth than HPS and vice versa.

In my part of the country we start planning in late February but it's a bit cold right now. The sun is high enough up in the sky to give a nice blue light spectrum; not to mention the fact the sun gives a full spectrum all the time, but the refraction from the atmosphere in the winter tends to give a more red spectrum.
