Is China a threat?

I have a tiny bit of that but it's not bad. I could hear that tone easily even on low. I was kinda surprised.
Dude, I can hear this at a concert... although I do wear "Vibes"... they are kinda like earplugs, but cuts to initial sound wave impact. But I can still hear music and enjoy it with them. I take them to family gatherings because all the chatter combined with 8600hz just sounds like a bunch of garble.

All I heard at first was a low note at a few hundred Hz.
The actual tone blends in with my own tinnitus which is mild enough it only bugs me when I can’t hear the TV or someone talking to me clearly enough to process the signal.
I think I have an HZ tool on my Mac somewhere.... you can use the slider to find your frequency. If you're only hearing a few hundred HZ.... I'd gladly trade you :bigjoint:..... or here's one online....

Yeah... it's maddening. If you had to turn it up to 100% to hear it, you have hearing damage in that frequency. .. I can't hear it at all no matter how loud because im already hearing it. ... When my sales guys (when I used to work at a Dealership) had pissed me off, I'd put that frequency on the PA system.... they would be searching all over the place trying to figure out the source. They were about to pull thier hair out.
as a kid, I remember TVs and the 15750Hz tone produced by the flyback transformer. Around the age of 20 that went bye-bye.

No, my tinnitus is several tones in the 5 to 15 kHz range. Sounds like the background hum from late-summer night bugs. Really only noticeable when I’m trying hard to listen to something or silence. I usually process it out.

not sure what that is/was.
Its was a ringtone that kids used in school that just beeped at that high fqz range that teacher could't hear when they got a message or call. I can't hear anything past that 8600Hz range. ... too many concerts, playing in a band for a decade, shooting guns without proper hearing protection, etc. Wish I could turn back time (thanks Cher) :)

I graduated in ‘79. Phones took coins or hung off the kitchen wall.

And these killed Superman.
