Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t share the impulse. If I had to put my finger on it, seeing heartless memes about the President without any genuine analysis of what the red brand is doing … maybe I’m just too old and crotchety to give that level of misplaced loyalty a gracious pass.

It’s my perspective that embracing (or more directly, voting for) a proven-false narrative is a failing grade on a fairly basic test. Mind you, I don’t mean a specific person, but maga as a set. By my lights they’ve self-deselected unless/until. I also am out of patience with both-sidesers.
