Is a nuclear Iran bad for the world?

no, it's the jihadist i abhor.

Indeed, people that think they can run others lives for them are abhorrent regardless of where they reside.

It's amazing that some of these hypocrites actually see glowing skin when they look in the mirror rather than the evil visage that is really there.

That is great, now if they would spend there money more wisely it would mean something..We don't need there oil..I guess we better look at the people that need there oil and keep eye on an invasion...

what unwise purchases has Iran made so far?

If the USA had no need of oil then we wouldn't be the second largest Importer of oil in the world. Fact is we NEED lots of oil since we aren't able to drill enough for our own use.

U.S. crude oil production in October exceeded imports for the first time in nearly two decades, starting a trend that is likely to continue for the foreseeable future as the country benefits from one of the biggest oil booms in history.
The Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday oil production in October was 7.7 million barrels per day (bpd), the highest for that month in 25 years, which surpassed net imports of 7.6 million bpd.
It is the latest milestone reached by the world's largest oil consumer after the shale oil revolution reversed declining output and gave fresh momentum to the oil industry in states such as North Dakota and Texas.

Why did you post this?

Because in the next 2 decades we will become a net exporter of Oil

So your assertion that we dont drill enough is erroneous

That would only happen if for some reason we chanced upon a new energy source that other countries could not get, barring that, the USA will NEVER be a net exporter of oil.

You think a bakken well flows 5 thousand barrels a day forever?

Just to keep the same amount of oil flowing they have to drill twice as many wells as the year before in the Bakken, bacause Bakken wells are very short lived.

The Bakken will be played out in a few years if tech advances in extraction aren't made.

LONDON (CNNMoney)
The United States will overtake Saudi Arabia to become the world's biggest oil producer before 2020, and will be energy independent 10 years later, according to a new forecast by the International Energy Agency.http://money.cnn.com/2012/11/12/news/economy/us-oil-production-energy/

umm yeah, that doesn't say anything about exporting oil. it just says that the USA MIGHT be energy independent by 2020 due to GAS and oil. That says the estimate will be about 11.2 million barrels produced per day.... The us uses 19 Million barrels per day right now. Nowhere does the estimates come anywhere close to that number, and Cheezy, you need to be BIGGER than the use number to be able to export.

The United States will overtake Saudi Arabia as the world’s leading oil producer by about 2017 and will become a net oil exporter by 2030, the International Energy Agency said Monday.

Sure, to produce that much oil out of the Bakken will require that 800,000 wells be drilled in the year 2020. And by year 2030 to reach those ESTIMATES AND ROSY PROJECTIONS ( i.e. Not fact), they will have to drill 786 million wells.

Sure.

Rob, my point is how is Iran not a drunkard? It doesn't matter if we're a drunkard too. Just because no one stops our drinking binges, everyone is allowed? IMO, no one should have nuclear power or nukes. Maybe one day we can have nuclear power. But not until we can figure out how to keep it safe from things like earthquakes and no dangerous waste is made. That's not happening anytime soon because we depend on that waste for weapons.

I saw this story on the local news tonight, we sent democratic war monger John Kerry to Iran.
They showed a picture of a nuclear control room with their great leaders picture on the wall.
I'm glad in my workplace there are no pictures of Obamy on the walls.

You've raised a good point. My personal thoughts on nukes (weapons) are I'd prefer they didn't exist, but I haven't figured out to "uninvent" them. I'm also not a fan of nuclear power as I am skeptical about their safety too. Also, I agree with you that there are alot of drunkards, how do you propose they are dealt with?
