It's a myth that candidates for the presidency pay more attention to small states because of the EC. They don't right now. The EC means that candidates put most attention into larger states that have a closely divided electorate.
The Senate is where rural states gain the most advantage. The EC just gives a minority party a chance to game the presidential election and defeat the will of the majority. Individual districts get their say through the legislature. Smaller states gain advantage in the Senate. The EC does not achieve what you say. The majority ought to have it's say of who should lead the executive branch. After all, that's who are most affected by him.,

12 states have received 96% of the general-election campaign events (204 of 212) by the major-party presidential and vice-presidential candidates during the 2020 presidential campaign (August 28 to November 3, 2020).
All of the 212 events were in just 17 states, meaning that 33 states and the District of Columbia did not receive any general-election campaign events at all.

Course they would... but we have things like tv, radio, internet, etc. Those remote locations arent as remote and cutoff as they were when the electoral college was created. Those in the low population states and counties have the ability to be heard just as easily as i.

Biden hasn't pushed the boundaries of reality from anything that I have seen. It really comes down to if the Democrats can win the House and Senate if he can get anything done.
Also Biden had a long ass career of not being a corrupt politician and has shown his taxes the entire way. He didn't start making money until after he left office and did not have a government office to profit others with for money. And Obama trusted him.
That is good enough for me.
He will appoint good people to the jobs that need to be filled for our executive branch to get fully functional after 4 years of nonsense.

Legitimately means different things to different folks. Gore legitimately won. But if you are asking if he achieves losing the popular vote and barely squeaks a win thanks to the gerrymandering and voter suppression by the republicans, then yes I would accept it. If he won, I would just accept that another 4 years of him will be enough to convince everybody that the Republican Party is a threat to democracy and needs to be voted out completely. There is plenty of room in the country for a political party based on small government and fiscal spending. I don't believe that myself, but I respect that. The Republican Party has evolved into something different and Trump is slamming that point home, 4 more years might just be what we need, who knows. Hope he loses by a landslide though.

AH well, right now it is all moot, because the votes are locking in right now and whatever happens happens. I am going to try to tune out soon and hope for the best waking up in the morning.
I really hope the senate and house goes Democrat. Biden would just be a cherry on top if that happens.
