EXACTLY, we need a private education system where your tax money goes to the school YOU pick your child to go so that in turn makes teacher HAVE to do their jobs otherwise schools will be fucked when they dont have the money anymore, so it makes them strive harder and produces better results. I think it's Europe or something another that has it that way and it works much better.
Also get the teachers unions the hell out, Im not pro union anymore, they are hurting America, and Americans alike.

you keep refferring to the liberals as if they're the only probelm. conservatives want big government when it suits their needs too. drug laws are more pushed for by republicans than democrats and once again i say, pro life!!! if you're going to bad mouth the system you should at least acknowledge that both sides want more govt. when it suits their particular needs. it's not so one sided.

Well thats true reps are bad on drug laws, BUT I would atleast like to have laws on the harder drugs atleast, I dont sway just because the promise I can smoke and grow legally (it's not legal for me and I dont care, Ill do it anyway), obama made insinuations that he wanted to make it "ok to smoke a butt" I think it was.... Played on all us weed lovers for votes, it's not the biggest problem by far so I wouldn't expect much BUT he really wasn't going to help use to being with, that talked stopped after voting, he delayed the DEA shit in Cali but bust still roll on....... No offense to plp in Cali but I wouldn't life there period, it ruined pretty much and the state is going belly up, it's a preview of whats to come for America as a whole if it all continues.......

AGREED, they ruin peoples work life by treating simple possession the same as drugs, as I continue to tell everyone, weed isn't a drug, it isn't manufactured, refined, or dicked with (not mine anyways LOL), it's grown, dried, crued, toked, endo story. Noone slams it and soo ohh look I left some kool aid in me slammer, noone snorts lines of it, although I smell my plants a million times or more a day LOL.
But yeah.
In a economy that makes it hard enought to get unemployment all we need is to be treated like the meth monkeys.
It's not like pot heads get high and want to hurt anyone or anything, we generally are a peaceful race of peoples.

LOL again @ "pot labs". I've heard them called "marijuana factories", too. Always cracks me up. It's like they're trying to make it seem like it's a manufactured drug, when it's really just a plant.
I saw a "news" story once about a pot field being destroyed, and the "reporter" said; "They cut these plants down and make marijuana out of them". I couldn't stop laughing.
Yes, kids, you can *make* marijuana out of a cannabis plant. All you need is a pair of scissors!

Well, the first problem with that is that our tax dollars don't really go to funding *any* schools. They go to the FED to pay back interest on the government's old loans so they can take out new loans.
We have private education already, but you have to be able to shell out a buttload of cash if you want to keep your kid out of public school.
It really isn't the public school system that's at fault. They're at the mercy of Congress, just like the rest of us.
The REAL problem lately is the reliance on standardized tests. Teachers spend the entire first part of the year reviewing material from the previous year before they can ever move on to the grade-level material they're supposed to be teaching. They spend the latter part of the year doing another "review", so the kids can pass the SOL tests. They tailor their lesson plans to fit in with the SOL curriculum and "review", and don't have time(not to mention resources) to teach the kids anything else. The schools have so little money that kids are sharing textbooks and the teachers are spending their own money on classroom supplies. They're cutting ART, MUSIC, PHYS ED, and extracurricular activities because they don't have the money to sustain them.
The more kids pass the SOL tests, the more money the school gets for their next year's budget. The ONLY material that's taught these days is whatever is going to be on those tests, plain and simple. Teaching anything else takes away from the time spent learning the material on the SOL.
The Unions don't determine the school budgets, do they? Nope. The Unions didn't institute the SOL tests. The Unions didn't write the "No child left behind" act. So who did? Well, it rhymes with Bleorge Gush.
Blaming democrats or unions for the state of our public schools is nonsensical. NEITHER has anything to do with it.
