What do they teach in school these days? That's easy! They teach you how to pass a standarized test, of course! Is there anything more important than that? I mean, those tests determine the school's budget. Pass the test, get the money!

In short, schools teach kids to fill in tiny bubbles on a sheet of paper. when that's done, they watch movies. It's great!

No child left behind! Just a bunch of college graduates who read at a fifth grade level! But don't leave them behind, no no no... then they might actually have to LEARN something!

Anyway, yeah, the constitution doesn't GIVE you rights, supposedly we're all born with them. The constitution simply "guarantees" (LOL!) that nobody (mainly the gov't) interferes with those rights.

At this point, we may as well recycle it and turn it into toilet paper so we can all wipe our asses on it.

yeah they shouldnt be, plan B pill is at almost every drug store now and is at the local health depts, abortions are almost unnecessary all the way around and much more costly to boot.

Talk to some real canadians, they have to wait months to have operations at times. They ENVY our health system, thats said, I have real personal friends in CA so I do know.

Please point me to a thread where I've defended ANYTHING that's going on in Congress right now, especially in terms of the massive spending in the past six months or so. I think you've got me confused with someone else, friend.

I know what measures I support and which ones I don't. It would appear that you're able to READ MY MIND, too bad you must've been one of those children "not left behind" and unable to actually comprehend what you've read.

I didn't vote for Obama, nor do I support his ridiculous spending.

So again, how is it that I'm defending it, when I don't agree with it in the first place?

Plan B is an emergency contraceptive. In order for it to be effective, you have to take it within 3-5 days from the time you had unprotected sex.

It works BEFORE you get pregnant, before implantation and/or fertilization of the egg.

It isn't the same thing as an abortion, in that it prevents the pregnancy before it can even occur.

Yes, abortion shouldn't be necessary. Unfortunately for us, we live in a less-than-perfect world and unplanned pregnancies DO happen, and yes, sometimes they go unnoticed until it's too late. Not everyone has a consistent monthly cycle, so when you're used to not having a period for six months or more you don't think anything of it.

I support Obama and I want him to spend what ever he has to get this country back on track...Hell we spent like trillions of dollars in Iraq on a war that was not needed so hell why not spend the same amount at home...end the war in Iraq make the rich pay the taxes they paid before Bush and we good to go

your president wasted money on an unjustified war in iraq and our president(as you put it) is using it to try and help our country out(at least that's how he sees it) so how can you sound so holier than thou?

Amazes me when I hear a stories about women who didn't realize they were pregnant until they GAVE BIRTH, for pete's sake.

I looked like a watermelon on toothpicks when I was pregnant, both times, and babies tend to move around in there... A LOT. How could you mistake a living creature moving around inside your body for anything else but what it is? Indigestion? Um, maybe if you're eating BABIES!

Now here is a twist..... I'm all for pulling back access to the voting booth.

This idea that the country is better off if everyone votes is nonsense. People who haven't a clue are herded up in buses and taken to vote on things they don't bother to study or be informed on. They simply vote the way they are told to by whoever is doing the herding.

Voting should take effort.....I wouldn't let ANY organization round up voters. It's completely up to the individual to get there. Then at least most of the voters would be the informed ones and might actually understand what is at stake.

Obama would not be in DC spending the USA's future away. I'd say Bush too, but both Gore and Kerry were horrid choices....perhaps it would have been Ron Pauls best chance.
