How does selling somebody a gay cake violate your religious freedom?

It's one thing if you don't like your neighbour because his dog uses your lawn as a toilet it's completely different if you don't like him because of his colour or religion.
These businesses who opt to discriminate based on sexual orientation should be made to display a sign outside stating "No Gays welcome here" therefore giving straight people the option of whether they want to shop there.

but they can prohibit racist business owners from harming others with their racist practices.

I was wondering who those people were in the photo, to think she could have been VP, she would have set the US back 50 years.

So let's say a business decides that from Monday morning on they no longer want to sell their wares to gay people do they ask everyone who comes in if they're gay?

it's pretty easy for a cake maker or photographer or florist to know if they are servicing a gay wedding or a straight one.

all of the above are examples of religious bigots who have tried to refuse service to gay couples.

all of them are still in business and taking orders.

That I get but what about someone coming in for a box of muffins etc?
The law can only be applied in certain cirumstances, i.e a mechanic servicing a car can't tell if the guy or gal who owns it is gay or straight by looking under the hood.
Anyway you dice it, It's just plain narrow minded and downright nasty.

I love how bigots can just waive their Bible around as an excuse to remain bigoted.

You don't have to like gay people or approve of what they're doing, but you can't deny them business simply based on their sexuality....smh. Atheists disapprove of all religions. Can an atheist business owner deny serving Christians or Muslims? Nope...

I'm not trying to sound dramatic or provoke anybody but it seems to me America is in a perpetual state of civil war without the guns of course, all these draconian laws are counter productive and surely not good for the wider economy.

It also allows a non-religious bigot the opportunity to be openly discriminatory by simply saying they are asserting their religious beliefs.

I'm sure some would if they could, any excuse would do.
Despite what European renaissance painters would have us believe the bible was written by somewhat dark skinned people yet todays white bigots see them as equals.

Let them try. Local TV, radio stations need to beef up for the rating season....drop film and interview teams to hang around. Look Buck, we want folks to be sincere, not PC and faking it. It takes some time but it sticks. Try to force me to do anything and it becomes an expensive investment on the forcers' side
