I believe the writers here are Federal agents trying to hide their roll and create a story line. See to use the word "medical" would be inconsistent with the Federal Controlled Substance laws utilized to justify these agencies authority and actions in such a situation. All these sealed warrants and specifically no mention of the DEA is very telling IMO.
Definitely have not scene that in local coverage here in Detroit. Usually the first line of the story is "A Michigan Medical Marijuana grower...... ". Maybe its the fact they were leaps and bounds outside of the restraints of Michigan Medical Marijuana laws. I highly doubt its some conspiracy but rather see it as they has to be transporting product further away then within the Metro Detroit area, go down to Ohio or Windsor and you'll at least double profit and why is everyone forgetting about the magic number 99, that number being the usual amount of plants that trigger federal enforcement of the law rather than local. When you have 20 someodd buildings including a few warehouses your definitely not only getting rid of your overages in the medical market. When you want to play in the big leagues expect the competition to be 2 pegs above you at all times and if you dont recognize that you shouldnt be running a large operation as such.

highly doubt 20 houses or bldgs are connected in "drug-ring". does seem reasonable to believe that product was going to new York, Chicago or anywhere out of area for higher dollar. I Do Know where you can pick up a very cheap residential vacant lot in Ypsilanti -

I'm not being conspiratorial here bother. The Controlled Substance Act (CSA) utilized by the Federal government, and in turn the states, to prosecute marijuana "offences" of any sort in this country is bullshit today. Consider that nearly half of the states within our union have legalize medical marijuana, is that not an "accepted medical use"?!? Do you think the clowns in charge (Obama & Holder) are working to fix this clear over-site and protect citizens or keep their boys gainfully employed while taking political cover. Even if you were correct, do you think the DEA would not be present and the lead agency within your scenario. Do you see now how it is "odd" that they are specifically not being mentioned?

Schedule I substances are those that have the following findings:

  1. The drug or other substance has a high potential for abuse.
  2. The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.
  3. There is a lack of accepted safety for use of the drug or other substance under medical supervision.

I wasnt refering to how the feds were involved but rather that I was referring specifically to journalists. They mentioned they busted some dispensaries in this case right? but obviously this was not a strict medical only operation. Once you cross that line of mass non medical supply you put a target for the feds on yourself. That guy who got busted down by Toledo/ Michigan border with his hoop houses had more then 99 plants on their property. The press didnt have an issue saying medical marijuana in regards to that. Secondly those 99+ plants is just another way to get a target on your back.

Worst comes to worst you want to disregard the possession and cultivation charges you still have the tax evasion cause you know those couple of hundred G's the cop found weren't going to be accounted for tax wise. This group of people fucked themselves over several times into a cocoon of fuck waiting for the feds to swoop in like a hungry predator.

I hear you brother. Just know that there are currently a lot of federal agents deployed in our area clandestinely, some how "justified" by "law". These cats are all about numbers to justify their existence. They have no respect for your state rights or MMMP card, nor do they give a damn about the well being of your family or you. Let's at least acknowledge the danger of such predators in our midst :eyesmoke:

Thousands make sense. I read something about a woman and child being all right on the day
it happened. I am wondering if the dog has stopped running yet. The guy should be beaten for
putting his family in danger like that.

[h=1]Butane, drugs at Ypsilanti Township home that exploded | Detroit Free Press | freep.com[/h]An official says thousands of butane canisters, an assault rifle and bags of marijuana were found at a home that exploded in Michigan.
Police say the home destroyed Sunday in Washtenaw County County's Ypsilanti Township, east of Ann Arbor, was part of a marijuana trafficking investigation that included four Michigan counties.
Authorities say three people survived the explosion.
Township Fire Marshal Vic Chevrette tellsAnnArbor.com investigators discovered hundreds of boxes containing 15-ounce canisters of butane, which is being investigated as a possible cause of the explosion.
He says the rifle, drugs and a pit bull were found.
State police say they're working on the 7-month investigation with others. They say they executed 25 search warrants Monday and seized more than $221,000 in cash, 736 marijuana plants and eight guns.

See these are the type of idiots that make our community look bad. It provides fodder for communities to try and push is out (see livonia as an example ).
Hopefully these instances will make bho idiots think of what they are doing and utilize some fucking common sense. The only plus side to this is that no one was seriously injured.
