Good day everybody!
It's GrowerZA here with an indoor Clone/Mother box.
Before I dive into the system specs let me first provide some background.
I have been growing in one form or another for the better part of a decade, from stealth PC case grows with CFL which I did when I was in high school to setting up a grow cupboard for production of fairly decent yields under 800W of HPS & MH in DWC.
As of September 18th 2018 the constitutional court ruled that private use and cultivation is legal in South Africa to anyone over 18 years of age.
The law is still a bit vague on the Number of plants and how much weed is considered for personal use.
At the moment the local authorities seem to be following a 4 plant and 1 Kilogram of dried bud at the moment until the courts outline the actual laws (24 months from 18 september 2018 )
In light of these events I'v decided to grow in a way that I never have before, I intend to do an outdoor grow in the beautiful Cape Town sun.
My grow has 3 different parts to it.
-The mother box
-Organic outdoor grow
-Outdoor DWC
In this thread I will outline the design specs of my Mother/clone box.
The box is an old cabinet that i had laying around.
it had minimal assembly required and i didn't care if it was destroyed by all the holes in it so it was the perfect shell.
The specs are as follows
Dimensions:
- 860mm wide x 700mm deep x 800mm high
Lights:
Four
- 2ft 9W LED Grow tubes (660nm & 450nm)
Pots:
Three
-Hydroponic square pots 10L (black)
Grow medium:
-Organic Potting soil
-Coco
-Perlite
-Other Nutriens & Micronutrients
I'm open to any suggestions of soil recipes that work well for indoor mother plants that will increase clone survival rate when transplanted outdoors.
Fan:
90m3/h 15W extractor fan
Strains:
GSR - White widow
GSR - NYC Diesel
GSR - Super Cheese
I purchased my seeds from Green smoke room seeds and am waiting for them to arrive.
in the mean time iv just thrown some seeds I had to test the lights.
This mother/Clone box will be used for rooting clones and keeping mothers only, I will not be doing any vegging in there at all.
If you guys have any advice or pointers that would be much appreciated.
