I put four new seeds in rockwool about 48 hours ago:
Chocolope
Red Cherry Berry
Sharksbreath
CheeseBomb
All four have germinated so looks like the next generation is underway.
AND, I got another new clone... this one is Black Diesel (NYC Diesel X Black Domina). I'm gonna veg this one a little while and take at least two clones before I flower her. She's reported to have massive yields, awesome colors and an amazing high. I'm really excited about this one.
My veggies are still in the grow room as my plans to transplant them got waylaid by a weather report of hard frost this weekend. That won't do. So I'm stalled till better weather...

Wow! Those look awesome! I'm so glad this is working out for you. I am completely loving it. I have my first harvest coming up in a couple of weeks or so. These will be the first ones that have gone from seed to smoke in the amended coco. They have grown really well and it has been super, super easy. Just water and go, and every once in awhile, toss them some molasses. Note to self...water with molasses tonight... I have ten girls in the flower room and I love just grabbing the watering jug and taking care of everybody in one pass.

I'm really glad you're enjoying the recipe. I have really enjoyed it as well. I'm on my I think fourth run with it. I'm going to run it a time or two more. And then I'm done. Gonna make the switch to REVS TLO. Ive been doing lots of reading. And I am almost ready to take the plunge. Cash is pretty much my only road block ATM. Best of luck.

If this soil-mix turns out to be too hot (powerful) for some reason, just cut it with good bagged organic soil until you get the strength your environment and genetics demands. I find cooking mine for about 30 days works the best for me, but I have often used it sooner, like at 2 weeks, and just remember the warmer it is outside wherever the soil-mix is at, the faster the cooking processes will happen. You can use a pH meter (soil pH meter) to tell when it is done cooking too. I wait until it is in the 6.2 – 6.8 range, which normally takes about 2 weeks, because as it kicks off cooking the pH will often be very low, like around 4.9 isn’t uncommon when it first starts to cook. ONLY FOR USE WITH PURE WATER SOURCES, LIKE REVERSE OSMOSIS, RAIN, OR DISTILLED WATER. DO NOT USE WELL, TAP, OR SPRING WATER WITH THIS RECIPE. This soil-mix is meant to be used along with the spike and layer TLO dynamic, and while it is quite capable of standing alone, it works supernaturally when you add the spike and layering dynamics. Adding this stuff to the earthworm food, prior to feeding it to the worms, is a fantastic practice and my earthworm castings border on magical. This results in some seriously beneficial (nutrient wise) compost you can add in large ratios to bagged soil-mixes to make them into stellar soil-mixes for TLO growing. It is important to cut your worm food with about an equal volume of perlite (small nugget sized) in order for there to be adequate aeration for supernatural composting to happen. - REv |

I started with CFL's and had a quite successful grow, but I am now using a 600w HPS/MH fixture. I only use CFL's for vegging now. Thanks for joining my thread!

LOL, you know, as a grower, I have nothing but the deepest respect for your skills. Therefore, I have cut and paste this into my mj docs file, but I gotta ask why you are changing? I don't see moving on to something new yet, but as I said, I saved this for future reference (better than I saved the current recipe first time you gave it to me... LOL).
While I have enjoyed the ease and simplicity of this mix, I am really looking forward to seeing how well I work it after reuse a time or two. I am just now getting a proper feel for watching my girls and knowing if something is missing for them. For the majority, this mix seems to provide exactly what they want. It's a little much for one and not enough for one here and there, but overall, I think my girls like Momma's home cooking

When you got 150g off that one plant, was that using the 7 42w CFLs?

I'm not sure if the number was 7 CFL's but everything I've harvested up till now, with the exception of a couple of miniscule Vanilla Kush plants, has been grown with CFL. Coming up will be my first real HPS from seed to smoke harvest.
At one point I had 34 CFL's in there.

Well, the clone queen is at it again... I stayed up till 2 in the morning last night cuz I got it in my head at 1 in the morning to go smoke a bowl with my girls (Note: I didn't get up out of bed to do this... I was still up )
So at 1 am, I've got me a bowl of Lemon Skunk and a cup of Crystal Light and I'm chilling in a camp chair in my flower room... when it occurs to me that with 10 active plants in my flower room and 10 more in the grow room, and 8 clones in the prop, that I have enough going on that I can do a little experimentation. A couple more hits on the bowl, and it came to me to lollipop my CheeseQuake. She just looked like she needed lollipopping (Lemon Skunk told me to do it). So I did.
And when I did, I managed to snip off quite a few little possible clones so I dipped them in a little rooting compound, tossed them in rockwool and put them in the prop with the 5 White Poison clones and 3 Black Diesel clones that I already had going. Some of the clippings were really tiny, but I kept the 4 largest.
Well, clones are like tater chips...
So before I knew it, I had also snipped 2 clones of my Agent Orange and 2 of the Bubblebomb. So I now have 16 clones in the prop, 6 growing clones in the veg room, 4 seedlings in the veg room, and 10 girls in the flower hut.
That brings Grandma's plant count to 36:
Somebody else in my family needs to get their medical real quick so I can flower some of these out before they become trees. Once again, I've overdone it! I got excited because I have a separate grow and flower room set-up and I went for overkill...it's what I do. Oh well...looks like another job for the clone fairy.
Edit: Oh snap! I just realized that I have at least 15 strains going (at least two of the bagseed are different, and maybe all four). Methinks it's time to cool my heels a little bit. Got a harvest coming up in 10-12 days...
