Dude im an hps guy and your totally right about the led growers, pretty much just having fun with some of their wild west claims. Not sure they are so interested in it now :-)

I'm not refuting the fact that plants can grow under LED lighting, nor am I refuting their light output vs heat efficiency. What I am refuting is that a bigger better plant can be grown under them vs HID. Top to bottom, nug for nug, any grow style (e.g.; 7' tall plant). If the heat "issues" associated with HID lighting are properly controlled/mitigated and all else being equal, the HID's are producing greater weight at higher quality.

Edit: "else" was intended "all else".

Have you experimented with COBs yet? I used to use 2 "450w" ViparSpectra LED panels (real draw was 206w.) One of these 89w fixtures outperforms both of those panels together exponentially. If you ever become confident enough to try COBs and don't DIY, try Tasty. I seriously do not expect that you'll be disappointed.

I'd try em right now if I had the cash laying around! Money isn't normally a big factor but my wife still considers my "hobby" a vice -- even though I've had a legit medical permit for years. Anyhoo... with Christmas on the horizon, upgrading my gear isn't an option right now. I'm sure it would improve my yields, but the quality I've been getting out of my hillbilly rig is off the hook & would be hard to beat.

I dont argue i debate and certainly dont make personal comments at growers. My original comment seems to hold more substance than you think as hps seems to yeild more than led which was all i said before you spat your dummy, whaaaa lol
