So upgrading growroom to LED

I’d say the top 10 LED’s all will produce about the same yield with little differences. Price has to be a major consideration, since they are all so similar IMO. Major considerations should also be if its waterproof, length of warranty, are shipping prices included and a built in dimmer.
Ya for sure that what's throwing me off is the price difference on some of these units is a good amount. Last month I saw the gavita 1700e going for $950 on some online hydro stores, now they're pretty much all back up to $12-1300 at reputable online hydro stores. I really wish I pulled the trigger on the gavitas last month.

Anways I just got quoted at $1199 a light for the gavita 1700e, and that price includes the e series led adapter and cords. So total would come to $7,194 + tax for 6 units. Just got the email in earlier this evening (he wasn't sure if the led adapter for dimmer would be included but it is). This is a tough decision to make for sure.

1000% agreed with this.

Most of the best lights will perform very similar

One name I didn’t see mentioned in this thread was green genes photoboost fixtures? Pacific light concepts have been producing and selling one of the best fixtures on the market for a long ass time if I were American I would be looking at PLC before I bought anything.

not sure what his prices are like or how production is these days but his quality of lights are top tier.

also spectre and Lux are both putting out nice strip fixtures as well.

so many options to choose from, Sshz said it best, use his checklist combined with the best $$ deals and you will be golden.

For sure I was sold on the gavitas but after doing some research I have been looking more into the growerschoice even though some would consider the growerschoice more of a budget/bargin brand led. Growerchoice 680 and roi e-720 specs look solid though, I also like what I've seen and heard from a few growers friends I trust.

I was also checking out the thinkgrows(really like these lights as well/have a friend doing well with these lights), timber led, and different HLG models.

Honestly dude all products are from China, the kingbrite copacabana is a solid lights. For a warranty ya I'd go with gavita over them, though I think the kingbrite 720w copacabana is most likely a better light.
No they aren't. HLG is American made and their customer support is a point of justifiable pride for the company. They're an RIU original; I know, I was one one the founders.

I’ve been running a couple Crecer pantherx minis for veg and have been pleased. Was browsing this thread (and a few others) trying to find a reason not to get the vertx600 for flower, think I’m just gonna go for it.

Do it make sure you buy directly from them..I've seen a couple of sites charging 850 instead of the 75O

And l was going to tell you to look at Chilled, but very good choice of light. Superior to many out there at this time. Cant wait to see your grow. Love my bar fixture and those blow mine away!
Thanks man it's going to be tight in my room, my room is a lil over 13.5' x 8.5'. I might even do 4-720w and 2 of the 680w not 100% sure will try to fit all 6- 720w in there at first, lol.

Thanks for the recommendation, I actually was looking at chilLED tech at recommendation from my good dude on here @colocowboy
Thanks for all the input, learned alot more about led companies from all you guys & gals. I have to say the next few years would be a great time to jump into leds if you are like me and looking to make the switch from HID>LED. With the tech better now from what it was even a few years ago and very competitive prices, now is a great time to make the plunge.

Tech is better every month or so now, think of as 10 year investment and the prices seem more reasonable. Unlike replacing hid every few cycles.

I picked up the new gavita 1930e, and they are bright as fuck and my par readings are very nice and even. I wanted a fixture with a lens because I’ve been hearing bad shit about conformal coatings not being able to be cleaned and also the fixtures that don’t have conformal coating get damaged from any sprays or moisture.

My light strips have covers but no lenses. The bars are much cooler and allow for airflow. Your going to love your new lights. Cant wait for pics.
